I think a lot of tech is not intuitive. I don't understand how to work many things, and I'm firmly rooted in this century. LOL
I think Steve is extremely smart and adaptable and would learn quickly, but I have no problem with the idea that he just doesn't get stuff about how 21st century tech works.

Shoot, I'm not even in the Avengers fandom and now I want fic of someone trying to "teach" Steve about our Wondrous Future Technology, and his reaction to be "Well, it might be a bit more fancy but it's still a TV."

Before Bucky (whom he met later in life in the comics) Steve's best friend was a guy named Arnie, who, when he came back... came out. As much as folks from that era did.
