Eh, YMMV, but the enitre beginning of teh third film was fucking Married Couple flirting and banter between Anakin and Obi-Wan.

.....there's a reason I shipped them so hard at one point. And the novelization for that movie DID NOT HELP. AT ALL.

Ugh, I hate it when Pepper is painted as the bad guy for not being able to handle Tony.

Like. In what universe? In what universe is someone too controlling and demanding for not being able to handle being in a long-term relationship with an unstable adrenaline-junkie genius with PTSD and a budding substance abuse problem. Like, I love Tony, and I think he and Pepper are the sweetest thing (except sometimes when I like Tony and Bruce, and Tony/Cap are just 616 canon in all but name, for pity's sake). But seriously? Being in a relationship with Tony would be a massive, life-consuming challenge, and require accepting a hell of a lot of problems as "price of admission." It's positively heartwarming when he gets a relationship with someone who can do that, but it certainly isn't even remotely unreasonable for someone to decide that no, this is just Too Much.

That's what pisses me off so much when Pepper gets shorted. There is a perfectly reasonable way to move her slightly to the left if she's in the way of your slash ship. It's totally plausible for her to love Tony, but just need to not be in that relationship with him.

I think it speaks a bit to how young a lot of fic writers are. When you're younger, you figure someone has to be the "bad guy" for a relationship not to work. But eventually you learn that sometimes there are bad guys, and sometimes there are just two people who do like each other a whole lot, who are perfectly nice, but just don't work together as life partners, for whatever reason.

Yeah, the romance only went FUBAR during Revenge of the Sith. They were able to play a flirting couple but they were very boring and soppy when they were married and Padme was pregnant with the twins.

I still seethe that Padme died from 'heartbreak'. I mean, they could've said that she died from complications from bring thrown to a rock ground while heavily pregnant, but noooo, she died from heartbreak of Anakin's fall to the Dark Side. I heard that they retcon that but it still make me seethe that they even put that in in the first place. I mean, she was a person since she was a girl who had fight to get her voice heard and her authority respected. Not to mention 'death by heartbreak' in the media is almost always used for women to fridge some in some way.

My favorite is when people drop random consonants in words to try and emulate his accent. But in ways that don't even make sense! I usually back button like the wind when it comes to those.

Right? If you know what the character sounds like, then you should be able to hear that in the dialogue without butchering it. Or am I just crazy?

Number three oh my god. When this happens with certain characters I have to question if the person writing the story has actually seen or played the source material.

Me too. I love this game and some of the friends I've made because of it. Yeah, there are a lot of shitty people, but it's like that pretty much everywhere in every community. :(

Don't worry OP! I like Hydro too. Just jump back in and play all the new maps! Maybe another will click with you like that one did.

Be careful what you wish for. On the one hand, it's the kind of thing that's a tremendous honor and makes you smile inherently, but on the other hand (and I'm a terrible person for saying this), it can be really difficult to know what to say when the art is... well... perhaps not the most amazing thing that you've ever seen. Etiquette for that's difficult, I think.

They were in a testing area, FFS. Do you really think any of those shields couldn't take a bullet considering Stark had them made for Steve to use to protect himself from HYDRA tech?

She's still in a fictional universe where sexism is very much present. If you've seen the Agent Carter one-shot, you'd know the post-war "get back to the kitchen, the boys are back" attitude was still very much part of the era. She had to assert her authority and earn the respect of her recruits in the quickest way possible. Was she supposed to make Hodge run laps or whatever after he insulted her and sexually harassed her? Please.

Additionally, have you had any sort of military training? It's not uncommon, for this to happen in modern day. So sit down.
