As a trans man I can only say a hearty fuck you. It's not childish, it's pretty fucking disgusting to think of people being pregnant on a personal level to me, regardless of whether or not it's actually me.

This is not to say I'm scared of pregnant people, I just don't want to read about it when I'm into my escapism and I don't care about the bullshit drama that usually accompanies it. Also, I don't give a single fuck about babies in general; don't even get me started on the walking bags of disease that are children.

There's nothing at all redeeming about pregnancy fic, because actual pregnancy is about the most disgusting human function of all time. In fic, sure it's all magic and sunshine and miracles, in real life it's vomiting, edema, diabetes, inexplicable rage and tears, and taking a big ol' shit on the delivery table.

Dude, if you don't like it, SCROLL. Do you really think people should stop writing pregnancy/kidfic just to make you happy? Nobody is making you read it.

No, I'm responding to the OP's attitude that I have to be okay with it and "grow up" and not find it vile. I don't have to do any of that. And I certainly don't have to be not voice my opinion about it just because they do like it. Works both ways.

You can find it vile all you want but I'm gonna stick to my guns here - voicing it, loudly and rudely, makes you immature and an asshat, since plenty of people are pregnant and/or have and/or want to have children. It's important to them. Calling children "bags of diseases" is gross. I really hope you don't act so disgusted when you see pregnant people or kids irl.

So how would you respond to someone who said they find being trans vile? That they shouldn't have to be quite and should be allowed to voice their opinion? Keep your vile opinions to yourself. They are harmful and unhealthy.

And those of us who are sane adults don't have to take you in any way seriously, respect your idiot opinion, or not voice OUR opinion about THAT.

See above. I don't have to be quiet about not liking something that a lot of people in my situation find triggering. I'm not going to go around irl going ewwww at pregnant people, but I'm also not obligated to not say anything about it when it's in something I'm otherwise enjoying.

Nobody is saying you're obligated to be quiet, they're saying you have issues and are being childish. Which you are.
