Yeah I can't help but feel like they didn't really think that through very well.

I mean like, a self-lubricating vagina is bad enough. Imagine that but with the added horror of poop residue mixed in. Not to mention the fact that there are few sensations in the world less pleasant than a slippery buttcrack. It's just a recipe for disaster.

Personally, I don't mind vaginas getting wet because it's natural, but I can't deal with the mental imagery of a wet asshole.

Not really. I've read some that were more about the politics and world building which is admittedly rare but nevertheless exists. Maybe I'm just a bit defensive because a/b/o is one of my favorite things, but I like it more cause I'm an AU nut and it's an interesting take on a lot of fandoms. It's almost like those Sentinel and Guide fics, except more emphasis on sexual dynamics.

In general, I'm just a sucker for any flavor of the soulmate trope. Like the one with the name/tattoo of your soulmate written on your skin or the whole fulfilled legend or the reincarnation gig. Love 'em all.

Nah, it's a surprisingly wide field. Knotting, self-lubrication, heats/ruts (although generally one of these is present, but once again - not always), mating, and all kinds of things are very common but not a requirement. The defining factor are the massively restrictive gender norms, plus at least one point of altered biology (although what exactly that is varies massively).

I came for the fappfodder, but I stayed for the worldbuilding. :/
