I haven't had that many, though I did have one this summer. Someone came through our drive through and asked for a cheeseburger. I asked what size would he like? He wanted to know what the sizes were so I listed them, starting with the classic 1/3 lb. Then he goes "How big is the 1/3 lb.?" I actually had to pause for a second so I didn't answer rudely |D

Aspartame. I grew up hearing "a-SPAR-ta-mee" but then started hearing "ASS-per/par-tame" and I don't know if the adults I knew as a kid just didn't know, if the people I know now don't know or if there are two ways to pronounce it.

Hiroshima. "Hiro-sheema" or "Hi-RO-shih-ma"? I really hate that I don't know that one, but again. I've heard it both ways.

Don't forget 'wimmin'. Gotta find a way to leave out that horrible, horrible 'men' part of the word.

(A lot of the neo-pagans we knew two decades ago did this, and it was in a lot of pagan books and things, too.)

I'm sick of the reaction that "You're a prude if you don't like fanservice."

Well, tough shit. Most of the time, it's impractical, it adds nothing to the plot and characters, and it's just really blatantly obvious pandering to teh fans.

And it just feels skeevy to me, most of the time. (Even male fanservice.) Female fanservice has an extra layer of "Do not want" for me, even though I'm bi, because it's clear it's NOT for me.

Not liking ridiculous costumes isn't prudish.

I have a step like that too. I don't know who designed it so that the first step outside is right underneath the edge of the roof but whoever they are I blame them for making my knees even worse than they have to be.
