Just here to commiserate over how fucking bad this movie is. I absolutely hate it.

I was really not impressed by this movie at all. When it came out I used to pretend I liked (or at least, I didn't let on that I didn't like it) it because I didn't need to give the other kids yet another thing to make fun of me for. But yeah, unimpressive movie, and the songs are as annoying as all get out.

EDIT: Wait, this is a sequel? Never mind, I never saw the sequels because I didn't like the original.

Pretty much everything you just said. It actively freaks me out a bit when people refer to The Lion King as this universally loved generational touchstone, because I flatly disliked it the first time I saw it, and nothing in the past couple decades has persuaded me to alter that opinion.

I fucking loved that movie. The only one that was good at that time during the sequel deluge of the late 90s. Well, this and the third Aladdin movie. HelllOOOOOO hot dad!!

Really? :( Lion King 2 was the only Disney sequel I enjoyed. All the others have shit stories and their art styles look slightly off.

It's definitely the only semi-decent sequel. I got excited about it and really loved some of the songs, which wasn't the case with any others.

I don't care what anyone says, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time was fantastic.

He got the shit beaten out of him, and made an order that the other animals already agreed with, who were the ones that actually drove Kovu out of the Pridelands.

He did make the decision, but I'm pretty sure Kovu could have easily killed him, if he could get past the other animals and lionesses.
Wouldn't really associate that with "flaunting your power."

The sequel? I enjoyed it, but it's a sequel. People are expected to hate sequels.

Damn, that is one sexy lion. I never saw this movie, but the art is probably reason enough.

(Also, the bottom of this secret is impossible to read.)

This was one of the few Disney sequels where the music actually held a candle to the songs from the first. The opening "He Lives In You", "Lullaby", and the song from the scene pictured, "Not One Of Us", were awesome. Animation and story weren't a shitshow, either.

No comment on "Lion King 1/2", though.

The soundtrack from Lion King 2 was great. I think most people can agree there.

I liked 1 1/2, in terms of animation quality and a continuation of the Shakespeare thing. But then I also really dug the Aladdin sequels, so I'm probably not the best judge. Damn you, Iago.

I think "He Lives in You" is adapted from the musical, but I agree on "Lullaby." I remembered the melody for all three of these as I read their title, but "Lullaby" really stuck in my head as a kid.

Seriously, there were some great songs in LK2! "Not One of Us" still gives me shivers.

Wanna talk about sexy Disney animal characters? Robin fucking Hood. I mean, at least he was anthropomorphised, but it's still weird.

The LKII bashing makes me sad, because I actually preferred it to The Lion King. The soundtrack was fantastic - better than the first movie's IMO.
