Well, this one is obvious:

Klavier Gavin had always assumed it was luck, maybe a quirk of personality, his style of cross-examination, possibly a greater sense of intuitiveness.

This one I like more as an opening:

It's so weird to me that I've only written Lost so far, when the finale made me hate like 80% of it in retrospect, lol. Supernatural only made me want to do things I hadn't thought of before with my original stuff, and Hannibal is crazy intimidating but I keep trying to write something about it. I just feel like I need a zillion more episodes and many years to digest them first (oh no a pun).

I don't post my fics anywhere anymore, I just send them to my friends via email since I don't know where to post my fics now.


A safe place Trixy enjoyed collecting her thoughts was in a bowl of cereal.

Glancing at the time on her computer screen, the young Ms. Lori Brody sighed as she ran her hands through her coarse chin length brown hair.

As she adjusted her baggy grey Adidas pants down lower, revealing a tiny bit of flesh at her hips, Krista Cooper wondered when her packaged would arrive.

He lit a cigarette, and rested his hand on the girl's thigh.

The dark nights were never supposed to be for a young girl like Nina Oshiro to be out alone, but tonight was what she considered an exception.

The house was silent, considering it was early in the morning.

Their first meeting isn’t really a meeting at all, it’s more of a brief mutual noticing.

One of those great questions for the ages, Jade Harley decides, will be why Sburb chose the United States.

Looking at them, I like the first one better, but I like the second one's story better. Odd. Then again, the first one's over a year old and from a fandom I'm not in anymore, so that might have something to do with it.
