19. Did you ask her if she liked anything else? Cause you seem to have assumed that just because she likes two BL/Yaoi series, she doesn't like any other genre (which, considering how small/hard to obtain the BL/Yaoi genre is in comparison to the others, is unlikely.)

I'm just ignoring the fact that they're even making an American version - they've screwed up cult British stuff before (Red Dwarf oh god what), and it won't be the same without the original cast anyway. I'm not sure how it'll work if they do a direct remake, as Spaced was very much rooted in early nineties pop culture, but if stray from the original... then what's the point? So I'm really torn over it.

3. I loved those two as a kid too.

4. As I've said before, it's his 'forget about the past' attitude that gets me. That past includes Maya, Edgeworth, and a lot of other people who loved him. Add that to his downright shitty, manipulative treatment of the two kids he supposedly 'lives for' and it just makes me sick. [SPOILERS ]

The treatment of Phoenix isn't my only issue in the game, but it is one of my biggest.

2. Yeah, Aizen/Gin fics suck. I love confident, evil Gin with no loyalty to anyone but Aizen -- but he's not a little girl, come on, fandom. He's not going to cry if Aizen hits him. (Also see every other male in every other fandom ever.) I know the Aizen/Gin fic I wrote wasn't porn, but it wasn't like that. :3 More a meeting of equals than some fourteen-year-old's idea of what BDSM is like.

3. Justin is so awesome it's hard to quantify. I sympathize. And also this is the second secret for this ship I've seen recently, and I STILL AGREE.

31. Uh, there's more to MY fandoms than porn. :\ You can participate in fandom without roleplaying or writing or reading porn. All I ever write is borderline gen vaaaguely pairing-hinty fic, I RP in fandom and no one expects me to write porn, and I find most porn to be of characters or pairings I don't care for. I don't have a problem being in fandom or talking to people in fandom. Unless you're ruling out fandom because it contains porn without actually trying, I don't think not wanting porn is an obstacle.

7. Most mythology-based fandoms, if not all, aren't entirely faithful to the original sources. When it comes to them, I judge the plot and characters as they are, and not the way the figures are portrayed compared to the pantheons. If I think one sucks, it's because the story itself sucks, regardless of the interpretation. Sure, sometimes it's painful/funny to see lol Saint Seiya, but you get over it and then it's just a name with few things in common. I'm glad to have this approach, personally, or I would've missed a lot of shit I love.

See, that's how I am too.

I've come to enjoy Marvel's 'Thor' series because it isn't an exact retelling of the mythology: it takes elements of it and makes it its own. Walt Simonson's run was probably the truest to the mythology for the most part, but it wasn't verbatim either.

And really, that's what I LOVE about all stories based upon all religions: pantheistic or monotheistic. They all have the same stories, but everyone tells it a little differently.
