I don't think anyone's going to get mad about your trans headcanon as long as you don't insist that it's canonically supported or that everyone who disagrees with it or who dislikes the character is a bigot. Especially if you, you know, set out your thoughts in the detail you're clearly able to give.

There's always going to be assholes who start whining and moaning if any kind of diversity-related thing comes anywhere near their fandom. They're jerks. The best way to stay safe is probably to make up a new tag for those posts until you feel more comfortable with a wider audience.

It shouldn't be that hard... we're looking for background characters who are somewhat villainous or dickish, and we can assume they wear glasses. That fit anyone in any of the current fandom darlings? Titan Attack or whatever that show's called? Hannibal?

A glasses-wearing background asshole character who everyone hates and is easy to headcanon as part of a minority group.... Is it Nina from Code Geass?

I don't know if I would call her a "minor background asshole," though. She has a pretty big effect on the plot.

Also, there are implications in canon that her behavior is the result of sexual assault.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense. Didn't he wear "horn-rimmed glasses", which would be tortoiseshell? And he fits the rest of the secret.
