Even though I cringe just thinking about the coming winter and new semester without my favorite shows (and all the channels glutted with cheap reality fillers), I still have to say that, as fans, we should direct our disgruntlement at the studios and put pressure on them to negotiate fairly with the writers. Currently, they're just waiting to break the WGA down, and unless they have some alternate means of bringing in income, those guys are going to have a tough time. And the deal they were getting, that was raw. I don't know, go blog about it or something, I'm not saying we shouldn't bitch but we should be bitching at the studio heads and producers.

35. Wow. I used to ship Tom/Huckleberry pretty hard. The only reason I didn't hate Twain for bringing Tom in and ruining Huck and Tim's story.

At first, I thought WoW was stupid, and not worth my time. However, it is very fun if you have others to play it with.

It's not as fun if you are just playing all by yourself.

WoW is worth it if you enjoy MMORPGs and have people to play with. It is very detailed and has an awesome backstory to keep you interested.


Oh, and I'm sorry but I don't bug endlessly to others about WoW, and I happen to be physically average and happen to take care of my hygiene and health.

Please fuck off with your pathetic excuse to hate a game because a couple of people bug you to play it. Honestly? You are just as mature as the people bugging you because you insult their "possible" body health. How edgy and clever!!

I didn't get that message at all; I thought that seemed like a pretty innocuous confession.

Tons of people find MMORPGs to be soul-sucking black holes, and this person saw an FMV and got all hot under the collar.

I know someone that regularly told me how much they hated Final Fantasy games in general; they started talking about FFVII like a serious fan after three hours of the game.

I'd be a little bit more understanding of the slash in Torchwood, given that the writers seem all about it as well (I'm a little annoyed with the whole "Every character in the show is bisexual" thing. I think it's just a bit cheap. Just another way to fit sex from any angle into the tv show, and not particularly necessary.)
I like Jack/Gwen. I don't think I'd mind much Jack/Ianto, since Ianto is supposed to be bi (if it wasn't canon, I probably wouldn't just because I hate the pointless slash). But then, Jack is friggen omnisexual, so I can never ship him with just one person anyway.

Hahaha I HEAR YOU. The same thing happened to me when I tried to watch Nanoha. All the characters have the same poofy bangs that stick out of one side of their head and look so out of place and I couldn't stand to watch more than three episodes because it bothered me THAT MUCH.

What's the difference between having fans and being a fandom? Because I've hung around on the OKP. The fans there can get pretty crazy and raunchy. (I distinctly remember a "what flavour are the b'ys?" topic getting pretty interesting. There are a couple of fanartists, if not writers. And there's even a few creepy(-ish) fans.

Just wondering when they become a "fandom"--do they have to take it to rule #34? (Good lord, I hope not! >.< *shudder*)
