How long do you think it will be until SJWs realise that flying off the handle at every single incident where cops use force makes you the boy who cried wolf, and means that real incidents will not be taken seriously because people will just think you ar ebeing overemotional and knee jerk again.

Thinking specifically of two stories I have seen in the feminist blog sphere where

1 - An old women who has threatend her family with a gun points a gun at police and gets shot
2 - A woman getting arrested for assaulting police where there's a video of her delivering a flying elbow to the face of an officer, accused him of sexual assault in the course of arresting her, and claiming that he crept up on her and she just "reacted by instinct", despite the video evidence.

I remember there were a ton of people streaming during the Trayvon/police/idek protests. One was a middle class white woman who kept going, "Yeah, fuck the police!" and just shit talking them for a good hour before her cellphone was stolen and she had to go to cop to report it. LOL

It's the internet. EVERYTHING IS LIKE SUPER SERIOUS, doncha' know?

I miss the days where if you wanted attention, you had to do something spectacular. Good or bad, it had to be big for everyone to pay attention. Now, thanks to the internet, everyone is not only having their fifteen minutes all at once, but the fifteen minutes has gone beyond that time limit.

At first I think Andy Warhol would have been pleased with his prediction and then horrified because he would have had to compete with a world full of no talent people who can hold the public's attention by screaming loud enough.

Nah. Social workers IRL like these tweenie brats (minus the profanity of course) have been around for decades. At least when it comes to PWD, social workers who act like SJWs are the ones who actually create "second class citizenship" for us. PWD I mean.

This was my favorite, the woman was going 71 in a 55 mph zone, gets pulled over, and then leads into a high speed chase, all with children in the car.

Yes, one of the cops went overboard trying to shoot out the wheels, however, if you watch the video (if it's still up), he was a new cop to the scene, and didn't actually know there were kids in the car, he just knew that there was a hostile law breaker willing to go at unsafe speeds, and the other cops needed backup:

this is a really stupid example since the last thing cops want to do in a dangerous police chase is encourage the driver to continue driving recklessly to escape them

he should have backed off, rather than pull that stupid "I'll shoot the tires like I'm in an action movie!!" shit

Yeah, I mean, there's videos of cops doing things like shooting cuffed people in the back while they're lying facedown on the ground, in front of numerous witnesses, because fuck it, I guess. We're far enough down the rabbit hole by now that it hardly matter whether you cry wolf or cry over something serious, cops will keep doing whatever either way.

If you're referring to the shooting of Oscar Grant, the officer served a prison sentence for it. Most of these officers at least lose their jobs when caught--it's not a solution to the system that created them, but it's better than nothing.

I haven't encountered a single SJW in my real life, only on Tumblr and only indirectly. I think you're exaggerating their influence.

But even those people on Tumblr are real people, who can have real influence. Especially when their group grows in numbers. Even important people have to consider an opinion when it's said loudly enough.

That is a valid point, but I think 98% of "those people" don't behave the same way IRL as on Tumblr.

I've met someone who actually thinks that way.

And I've had some friends bring up stuff they've heard from those circles.

So they obviously have some reach.

It depends on where you live. If you are in an average town in the US, there's a good chance you will never run into one. Or if you do, you will never know because they keep their rants to the internet. However, if you live in say Williamsburg, Brooklyn or Portland then your chances of running into one jumps greatly.

I can only think of one off of the top of my head IRL. She was my roomie in freshman year of college and she slowly turned into one. I kind of stopped talking to her after that because she was turning kind of awful aside from the SJW-ness. But other than her, I can't think of anyone else I know who's like that offline. I have other pretty pro-social justice friends but they're the good kind. So yay!

I've encountered social workers like them. Minus the bad attitude/potty mouths of course. These encounters have always been most unpleasant. SJWs are basically the next generation of social workers to oppress people in the name of "helping" them (via codependence/nanny-state).

I have a RL friend who lived all her life in the USA, and has now been living abroad for a few years. Suddenly the thought of moving back here is the worst thing ever because, like, cops just go around shooting people everywhere, all the time. I blame tumblr for altering her memory of what life in the big scary USA is like.

Lol I remember there was this post going around crying racism because this black lady left her kids in the car in Phoenix and she was getting a bunch of jail time for it while this white girl had left her kid on top of her car and drove off while high and only gotten probation. None of the kids were severely hurt, thankfully. But this girl I'm following on tumblr kept hate-reblogging it (i assume) every time she saw it. All caps, all out rage about how she could have killed her kids.

I laughed at tumblr justice, but then she pointed out that they'd raised thousands of dollars for this woman that was completely guilty of the crime she was charged with and I got kinda sad.
