I don't really think there's enough need to separate them yet. Just skip over them if you're not interested - I do with most of them.
I voted no, but I'd like the records to show that I find secrets about fanartists, fanfic writers, vidders, and other members of fandom as opposed to fandom itself as annoying as RP secrets.
I don't care what you think about this BNF or what wanker. Making people in fandom a fandom unto themselves makes me puke a little in my mouth.
But I think it's ultimately up to you, really! :D

Just to put my opinion in ...
I don't think that having a separate comm for RP secrets is equivalent to having a separate comm for every subset of secrets. I'm not really sure why, but I think that, given the response to RPG secrets, there is *something* about them that's different from other secrets that people aren't interested in. Maybe it's related to the fact that a secret about any other facet of a fandom (shipping, BNFs, characters) will be at least mildly interesting to someone in the fandom, but a secret about an RPG will only be interesting to someone in the RPG in the fandom? I don't know.
Maybe a good compromise could be to do alternating RPG/fandom secret posts?
This whole thing would make the number of secrets go down, but I've been in a situation where a community split in this way and, while posts were down for a while, everyone was happier because the people who didn't want to see the bandslash didn't have to see it, and the bandslashers didn't have to deal with people getting angry at them all the time.

Can we just get rid of "I'm in love with my RP partner~" secrets? Srslyguys. Nobody actually cares.
You KNOW I can't resist my .02, right?
Okay peoples, it's like this. You don't have to read every secret.
OMGWHAT? Yes, seriously, you don't have to read them all. Hell, I read maybe six secrets a post. Oh well, you can ignore them too. It's not that hard. I'm assuming a majority of us are human, and humans come equipped with ignorance, it's easy enough to use as well. For the robots in the audience, just get yourselves an ignorance update patch, it's lots of fun, I promise.
Oh yes, they CAN cause drama. I can vouch for this, being on the receiving end of some RP secret drama back in the early days before personal attack blackout. Now I laugh about it. If I was annoying someone then I was doing something right.
And really, RP is an important part of fandom. After all, it's called FANdom. It's about what the fans do. See, you got the fan, and the do. They just added an m to make it less obvious. So get over yourselves and do what I do when a certain type of secret annoys me: make a secret that mocks it in a similar format. I never submit mine, but hey, you can submit it anyway. Everyone KNOWS a lot of people look at the 'non-fandom' secrets as well. It'd be more reasonable to not put up links to those things than to get rid of RP secrets.
No matter how many times this vote goes up, I believe we're going to end up sticking with it.
So, have a nice day and keep ahold of those two cents. After all, two pennies saved is a smack upside the head with reality that you can avoid in the future.
Edit: Oh yeah, forgot.
TL;DR point - RP secrets aren't going anywhere.

Is it that hard to skip over RP secrets? I don't watch House, Supernatural, Doctor Who, Heroes and other shows so I just skip them.
I usually end up skipping over more than half the secrets since I don't watch Japanese Animation. RP secrets are still fandom related, and you can ignore them easily.
People just want to vent. Isn't that kinda the point of this?

Think ahead.
A comm for RP secrets only (which already exist, I hear?) would get repetitive and possibly annoying very soon, left to last for a short time.
Pertaining this comm, that would be one secret theme off. If RP secrets are kicked, eventually people will want to kick off "I'd hit it", "I pretend to like this but I like this other thing", etc. And eventually, some will complain about secrets like "I fap to this", "I wish more people were into this", or others that begin getting submitted often, leaving this comm with less and less themes until it becomes either boring or very inactive.
In short, just leave 'em, it'll be better in the long run.
For one, you can scroll past 'em. And secondly, the makers of such secrets will eventually realize (through the discussion that has been going on, this poll, etc) that no one cares about their "I love my RP partner", "This person sucks", "This person made me hate this" shit.
Uh, that is all.
So voted to keep 'em around.

Oh shi-, I posted that as a reply? ><;;;; SORRY!
Hah. I was wondering. I was like, "B-but I pretty much agreed with what you said..."
Thanks for clarifying!

I don't mind an RP secret here and there but I could definitely do without all the MattMello wank :(
I want another friending meme instead! :D Can we have one again sometime soon, please?
(anonymous cause I feel embarassed begging)

Yeah uh this is totally dumb. If the RP is a fandom RP, it's part of fandom, so why the hell not keep it in this comm?
I say keep it. I don't RP and it holds no interest for me, but I read if the secret is pretty/if I know the fandom/if I think I know who's written it, which for some reason has been happening a lot more lately. Keep the I ship it/I hit it/real people things too. It's all good!
(On an entirely different note - did I miss something? I don't get the MelloMatt wank. It's a pairing. Some people ship it. Some people don't. What gives?)
