Look at the way the character is posed and the way the action is staged and depicted and the implications about the character and the way she relates to the hot guy in each image.

That's the difference.

I can't read top-image's dialogue, but I can read bottom-image's. And he's asking Starfire if she remembers a list of (I assume) the men she knows in the Titans? (I only recognise Dick and Gar; really not a fan of TT) And she doesn't remember any of them?

Even without context, that's skeevy to me. How come she doesn't remember these men she's previously worked with for some time? And why does this bloke she's with want to know if she does? Why should he care?

I ended up liking Red Hood and the Outlaws and I think the initial characterization of Starfire was terribly sexist (skeevy "sentient sexdoll" vibe).

Aside from the horrible pose, Left one looks happy, Right one look blank. Old!Starfire was scantly clad, I'll give you that, but she wasn't an emotionless sex machine.

The Starfire on the left is happy and loving, the Starfire on the right doesn't even feel the love and is just bored.

Look at the dialogue in both. Look at her posing in both. Spot the differences.

Can't do it? I'll help.

On the left, while she's posed somewhat sexily in the first panel, her proportions are not out of whack and she isn't twisted to show both ass AND tits. The second panel is a closeup that pointedly does not include her breasts -- and I doubt it would even if she had a top on. And the third panel, she's actually obscured by Mr. Grayson!

On the right, she's clearly suffering from Green's Disease.

On the left, she and Dick are discussing their feelings for each other.

On the right, she has no memory of her former friends (which feels like Scott Lobdell's attempt at symbolically trashing the old Teen Titans) and comes off as a blank, disinterested sex doll. Not long after that panel she basically says "I'm bored, show me your penis."

If you still can't see the difference, I can't help you.

The difference as I have seen it is her motivation. Starfire used to be a sexually active person who cared deeply about each of her partners. Polyamorous in the truest sense of the word. It was how she expressed her love.

New Starfire can't even remember the names attached to the penises she has used and the concept of love is "boring" to her.

Both are sexually active, but with completely different motivation and execution of the idea. And that makes me sad on a fundamental level, add somebody who has given up on DC after a good 25 years of fandom.

Because the old Starfire was about love and that RHATO Starfire (in the beginning at least) was about sex and not even caring what the guy looks like, just because she was 'bored'.

Starfire has always been about love and sexuality and caring about the person your with, she has sex with people because she loves them and enjoys it. Contrary to the RHATO Starfire who just did it because she was bored and had no 'love' in it.
