22. I didn't really care much for Anette until I saw her in concert this november. She was too cute, and seemed so sweet, and I think she did amazingly. Now I'm totally sold on her. She really isn't Tarja in terms of vocals, but I've decided that comparing them is a fruitless endeavor. There are things I like about both of their voices, and I think all the griping gets in the way of enjoying the music.

39. What a nice secret! Discworld Death does make the whole thing seem a lot less scary than it is... Hogfather gives me warm fuzzies in my heart, too. Pterry once said that he gets letters from terminally ill fans who hope that Death is just like he wrote him. He then reports he has to "stare at the wall for a long time".

That Allstate commercial is really powerful too. I get chills when I watch it.

As someone who RPs Ichigo, I find it incredibly difficult to see how he could possibly care less for either girl. I love IchiRuki, and I feel that Ichigo's feelings are much more blatant for Rukia, yet at the same time, he'd do anything for Orihime too- why? Because that's the kinda guy he IS. So I totally see what you mean, because why does it always have to be about what is set in stone? These are just characters who react the way that they do! And frankly, I think that's what makes them so interesting. *_* It's why after RPing with a friend who plays Orihime, I like it almost as much.

Don't feel like a 'traitor to your ship'. Your ship is just a bit bigger and diverse.

1: Oh, the Pokerap. Summer of 2004, I worked at the big Pokemon Center in New York. They played ONE of the Pokemon CDs over and over and over and over, every day. I must have heard that one CD 8 times a day and I worked there the entire summer. Some of those songs still make me erk if I hear them...

But the Pokerap isn't one :D

(Electrode, Diglett, Nidoran, Mankey...)

22: YES. THANK YOU.

Anette is not Tarja. Tarja is not Anette. They have totally different sounds and you know what? I honestly feel Anette blends better with the band and has a much earthier, warmer tone to her voice. I don't think she's as technically good as Tarja but I sort of don't goddamn care, they sound great with her and I love the almost folk-metal sound they have on songs like "Amaranth." I wish the Tarja brats would just stop bitching.

33: Fandom should be fun first and foremost--if you aren't enjoying yourself, then you should really examine if you want to be in it in the first place. I don't understand people who so vehemently bash ships (and more importantly, bash the people who ship them). It's sort of utterly incomprehensible to me. In PW fandom, I don't like Phoenix/Maya or Edgeworth/Franziska or Gumshoe/Edgeworth or whatever... so I don't read the damn fics. But I'm still friends with people who like those pairings because they're cool people. And I ship what I want, I read those fics, I like them if they're good, laugh at them if they're bad, whatever.

I really don't understand serious ship wank. I'll wank for fun and because I'm bored, but it's mostly counterwank and I still don't get those who do it seriously.

Also, I'm sort of incredibly amused by it being my comment that spurred this secret >_>

In conclusion, OP... when the time comes, if there are people honestly causing fandom wank, you can either tell them that (which is perfectly viable) or just laugh at the ridiculousness of it. That's what I do; it's entertaining!
