i have never read or watched snk but this titan shifter business, are all the humans able to shift into titans? is it a secret to the others which humans can become titans? when the humans become titans are they still "good" humans, are they still our protagonists? what's going on someone help.

Normal titans will attack titan shifters.
I stopped watching halfway through so I don't know more.

Ymir's tiitan form is ugly as fuck not gonna lie lol.
But I actually kinda like it because of how distrubing and creepy it looks. It made me like her even more.
Bern and Reiner's titan form look pretty gross too, and Annie's doesn't even have any skin.
I really don't think the director/author/whatever is targeting Ymir just because she's slightly darker then everyone else in the show.

I was also initially excited about a (almost) canon lesbian relationship, but reading the manga...I don't like either of the characters. :( I suppose that's just the way the manga is going, that everyone is a horrible person in some way, but I find they're among the ones I dislike more than most and don't even want to read the parts of the chapters with them (well, Christa at least since she's the only one still showing up) anymore.

The funniest part is when people draw Eren super dark simply for having a Turkish name.

Have those people even seen Turks, Greeks, Armenians, Lebanese, Syrians or are they thinking that everything east of Italy = DARK BROWN PPL EVERYWHERE

Shouldn't this be marked for spoilers? I mean, the anime hasn't even reached that point yet. Kind of rude, OP, for not mentioning.

But I love Ymir and Christa. I thought Christa was bland at first, but she's starting to become more interesting. I loved when Eren basically said that to her face, too. Still, Ymir is definitely the more interesting half of the pair, but I think Christa will grow a lot.

I don't really get how the fact that her titan form being ugly is problematic ties into the rest of the secret.

I'm guessing OP simply doesn't like the character, which is completely okay, everyone's allowed to like and dislike characters, but the secret sort of makes it look like OP doesn't like Ymir BECAUSE of the problematic issue with the (maybe-)POC having an ugly titan form. (Which would be a shallow-ass reason not to like a character)

In conclusion: huh?
