I don't know this fandom, but the one labeled Jane looks like Alan Tudyk in drag.

That's Susannah Harker, IIRC. She played Jane in the 1995 mini series of Pride and Prejudice.

There is a bit of a resemblance to Alan Tudyk in that pic. I never noticed it before.

I love the picture you chose for Mrs. Bennet. It really made me laugh.

I love this because I've just assumed I'm Elizabeth, but of course it's not true, I don't have a Mr Darcy for a start. I think maybe I am a Mary and maybe growing into Lady Catherine. Oh the horror.

First I just want to say how much I love this secret. SO MUCH LOVE.

Also, I sympathize because I have a huge Caroline Bingley streak in me. :-/

The genius of Jane Austen is that there is something to identify with in every character, because she wrote so skillfully, drawing on human nature. Rejoice in the variety, OP! :) You can choose to make good decisions, but your personality? It's just one of the beautiful things that make people who they are.

I'd probably be a mix of Kitty-Georgiana.

I know it makes sense to cast the prettiest actress for the main role - Elizabeth - but! Jane is supposed to be the beauty, much more beautiful than everyone else and that Jane is definitely nothing special. She's certainly pretty, but not as special as the book makes you think and the Elizabeth is much prettier. That's just wrong.

I don't really have much to add, I just wanted to let you know I appreciate you submitting your secret when you did because I literally just got around to watching both this & the 2005 adaptation for the first time ever this week, despite the fact that I read the book more than 3 years ago.

I think I'd like to be whomever it was who was played by Penelope Wilton in the movie from a few years ago. She seemed cool.

Honestly the world would be so much easier if you could be Jane. I'm sure even Ms. Austen realized that when she was writing it, that you should want to be LIKE Elizabeth but you want Jane's life :P
