You can't drown them now. They've learned how to get out of the pool without a ladder.

(Unless, possibly, you can wall in the pool so that there's no accessible edge. I haven't tried that.)

Get them in the pool, go to Build Mode, build a fence or raise the ground around the pool to unclimbable steepness. I worked that one out very early, when I made the mistake of killing off Bella without realising how uncommon it can be to get the Ghostatron offer.

My Sims rarely have kids so the toddler thing won't effect me much if/when I play, but... I don't get why they're doing away with them either. It seems odd.

And no pools is sacrilege. (Even though I've never drowned my Sims or killed them in general like a lot of people do. I spend too much time making them and then get overtly attached.)

As long as those lives are the ones I want for them. It's fun being a god.

The reason they're "doing away" with it is...well...they're not. They're going to release toddlers AND pools in expansion packs, I'd bet money on it.

Ah, alright; I didn't realize that. I... Guess that's better? It's better than not having them at all, though those are basic features that seem like they should be in the base game. I suppose EA could add those into the base game later, but knowing EA and their love for money you're right, it'll be included in an expansion.

Pools, yes.

Toddlers? If they do, it's going to be broken, because adding in an entire lifestage that some games have and some games don't is NOT easy. In which case, it will require serious mods to play safely, and even then will likely be broken.

Jesus Christ. Might as well be taking everything away for Sims 5 then, the main game being Sim Creator, following expansion packs Build a House, Backyard Barbeque, Baby Shower, Jobs and Hobbies...
I'm exaggerating but I've been on the Sims train since day one and it's gotten really insane with the money milking.

The current running theory I've been hearing is that the engine lacks a whole bunch of stuff because it was developed for multiplayer, which was dropped like a hot potato after SimCity didn't meet budget. So you have babies as a furniture item.
