2. THANK YOU. XDD; For the giant majority of my life, "Katrina" was such a rare name. ... And then the hurricane comes and the 'hurricane' is dropped from the beginning and it becomes Katrina who's destroying the houses. :C .. Kinda unrelated. But still. I know what it's like to have your rareish name associated with assorted things.

And yaaaay for pokemon characters with shared names. <3 'Cept, I got a fashion-challenged girl with a raichu. :c

And hey, at least Raichu's are cool, right? (They've always been my favourite Pokemon, from way back in the old school 150 times. XD)

I haven't been into Pokemon in years, but I still love that episode and Giselle. >: Partly because of her name, I think... that episode was the first time I heard it, and I thought it was so pretty.

When I find my name in fiction, it usually belongs to someone's dead relative who isn't even an actual character. But there are at least three characters I like who have variations of my name (the Ceciles from Suikoden III and Code Geass, and Cecilie from Kyou Kara Maou).

[eta] OH and HOW DID I FORGET the Cecil/Cecille surnamed characters in Tales of the Abyss. \o/

2. I wish I knew what you meant, but my rare name is far too rare to even be used in movies or books or anything. D: I love my name...I wish it were more popular. (But at the same time I don't. Know what I mean?)

49. Everyone has exceptions, love. Mine are Uma Thurman, Keira Knightley, Jodie Foster and my neighbor down the street. I'm very confident in my attraction to men, and except for those four women, I could never see myself with anything other than a man. 8. Iawts, though I admit I miss the Zutara zealots who always said Kataang was cliche when their pairing was too, that they would soon be canon because subtext means so much more than actual canon moments, and whatnot. I have to say, the shitstorms were fun. Thank goodness I have Zutara friends who aren't cutting my head off proclaiming it's canon or else I'd never have a good opinion of those shippers.

39. I wasn't a fan of Vic before FMA (actually, FMA made me the dub-obsessed fan I am today--I wasn't a fangirl of almost ANY dub actors before it), but...I sort of agree. I think the Resis are starting to get just a liiiittle too crazy, and it's made me withdraw from his stuff and start fangirling over other actors instead. ^^;;

11. YES! I totally understand! I am so in love with Steven J. Blum's voice. Especially when he was Spike in Cowboy Bebop. I would marry his voice. 50: It might have something to do with the fact that R&C doesn't really have active communities (quick peek reveals ONE R&C-exclusive comm, and it's dead), whereas J&D has five bazillion of them. The R&C fans get desperate and go for the active comms where there is a high crossover of R&C fans.

*is an R&C fan who has never played the J&D games* If you can come up with a method to corral all the R&C fans into one comm, you'd be doing us all a favor.

2) That reminds me of a creepy story. My boyfriend and I fantasize about getting married and having kids someday, and there's a name we really like if we ever have a daughter. And then the other day online I found out that there exists an anime character with THE NAME OF MY HYPOTHETICAL UNBORN CHILD.

16) WORD. I tried so hard to like this. I really did. I got the first three books. I tried to care about the story. Nothing quelled my passionate, burning hatred for Fred Gallagher. I used to think that I was just jealous of his drawing skill or the fact that he had the career I wanted. Then I realized that all his people look like sleepy wooden dolls, Piro is, in fact, too emo to live, and the story does suck. And with a smile of relief I realized that was okay, and I never touched the damn thing again.

You're not the only one that thought that in the post. I should have worded it wrong: I'm a woman, but I never identified with the yaoi fangirl subculture, because, well, it does nothing for me.

Oh, and I have a voice actor I obsess over. Every time I hear Robert McCollum, and I KNOW it's him because it sounds more or less like one of his Sensui voices, I START SCREAMING (man, I'm a pathetic fanboy). (But he's a good VA, so sometimes I don't catch his voices.) I'm even happier knowing that he's a GLBT ally...

I wish he showed up at cons once in a while, I'd like to get his autograph on either a Sensui or a Yukito picture.
