I liked how you mentioned her torso and her lack of rear end but you neglected to mention how fucked up her face is. Seriously, I could probably stand to read all through that comic no matter how cliche or stupid it turns out to be, but the way that guy draws faces bothers me so much I can't stand to look at any of his art.

I don't understand who can draw backgrounds so well is so terrible at the characters in them. Go find a Facial Proportion for Dummies book, buddy. Or maybe just study some photos. He might be surprised to know that eyes are not positioned at the sides of the head, but rather in the middle of the face with space about the length of one eye in between them.

I can sympathize with people who read and like crap as long as they know it's crap. But I think your friends are extremely disillusioned if they actually believe the art is beautiful. It might be beautiful if there were two artists and the present one only drew the scenes while the other drew the people, yeah. But now? Definitely not.

The reason why he's so talented at backgrounds is because he used to work as an architect. As for people, well, instead of drawing from life, he drew from Moe Moe Visual Romance Novels.

I like Vic's voice, I think he does his characters very well.
I liked him before FMA, even though I didn't know anything about him except for his name, and yes I have to agree that FMA seems to have ruined a lot of things relating to Vic.

For one, every Ranger I've met is insane. Not that I'm saying they all are, just that it seems to be a theme of the few I've actually met.
Secondly, a lot of people that really supported him before the whole FMA thing have said that he was a really nice guy before, and the popularity that came with the Ed fans went to his head.

Either way, his name seems to be a cause for controversy, nowadays and I honestly wish I could say that I enjoy his roles without getting attacked by people that hate him- or admit to not really liking him without getting attacked by his rabid fanbase.

I like him for what he does, in his field of work. I don't care about his opinions or his personal life.
Honestly, my biggest peeve with the man is the fact that he seems to think anyone that likes Ed is a fan of his.
When, they could have just read the manga, or watch the subtitled version.

That doesn't stop me from thinking that he's good at his job- credit where credit is due, you know?

But, essentially, in the long run.. I agree with the point. I wish the simple act of mentioning his name didn't cause a whole battle, or people getting defensive about their opinions.

I sometimes wonder if the Vic/Ed backlash has a lot to do with the amount of people that won't even give FMA a try... All of that drama shouldn't be so important.

8. Y'know what? Screw you. I am so sick of people like you laughing up your sleeves all smug and superior-like. "Silly shippers. You're certainly entertaining to watch. O-ho-ho-ho..."

Bite me. I like Zuko/Katara, but I'm not rabid about it. I really was hoping it could happen because it just seemed like a really cool path to take, and I'm tired of being mocked because that seemed like a good idea to me. In fact, the only thing I'm rabidly against is Zuko/Mai, because the way it was written makes me throw up a little.

14. I will now undo just about everything I've been trying to prove about myself and my worthiness in the fandom and say... um, I kind of totally agree. I love Classic!Who. I love Jamie and Sarah Jane and Romana and all. But there's 20 years of it. There's a whole bunch of it, and it's wonderful, and while I'm certainly not upset or disappointed that the show will (hopefully!) be continuing in that vein and start having more companions that are completely not interested in the Doctor's pants and vice-versa...

I could easily have watched it for seasons more as a show about a time-traveling couple who was totally in love. Couples in sci-fi are cool, dangit! It would've been a totally different animal from Classic!Who, but that's alright.

And yes, it probably is because the very first episode of Doctor Who I ever saw was "Dalek" so the show I fell in love with was about Doctor/Rose.


Also, it bears saying, while I was in the middle of typing this, UPS just delivered "Mark of the Rani." I can't wait to watch it!


17. I really want to see that show. I also think it wouldn't be hard to be more adult than Torchwood. I mean, I like Torchwood well enough, but constantly horny characters hopping into bed with any interested party doesn't me as particularly adult or mature. If y'know what I mean.


30. You are most certainly not alone. There's only a handful of slash I support. I'm not even gonna say I "like." It slash pairings that are just too THERE for me to deny. But much as I believe that Much loves Robin as more than just a brother, or that Pintel and Ragetti are so freaking married, I don't really want to see/read about them, em...doing things. Just doesn't particularly turn me on.


36. I think I know what you mean. I'd never say it in specifics, but I think it's more than possible. Some writers, especially after a lot of success (*cough*George Lucas. Even though he's not really who I'm thinking of), tend to stop being particularly maticulous about characterization and other things. I don't mean in a nitpicking way; I mean in a seriously noticiable way.

43. I've heard of it. But only because someone wrote amazing X-menMovie/Firefly crossover. I wish she'd finish it. It was serious good times. Also, Firefly the show is amazing, and worth watching. But I'm sure you've heard that a billion times.

Not to support the stupid wankers who seem to be on vendettas, but I think Avatar fandom is in a backlash trend right now in regards to Zuko/Katara. Because there are times when it seems that in terms of fandom all you come across is Zuko/Katara this and Zuko/Katara that, and people began to resent to it, because that is what happens when things get popular. Not saying I support it, but I think I know where a bit of it might be coming from.

Both sides have been incredibly stupid (I personally wish some factions would tone down on the Mai hate, it is okay to dislike the character and the pairing, but to do it with that much vitriol. Give me a break)

2. I LOVED GISELLE AND ENCHANTED! She was lovely! I felt Extremely Extremely Violated when I found some Enchanted smut on ff.net the other day.

8. Hey, sane Zutara shippers exist. Really, we do. Maiko makes me laugh my ass off, because it just brings out Zuko's awkward dorkiness, but Kataang needs to go. It makes me cringe. It was less weird when Aang had hair, but in DOBS he had to shave it off and then he looked all young again and I felt weird.

11. I am currently in love with most of the voices from Avatar. Mostly Mae Whitman, Jack De Sena, Grey DeLisle, and Cricket Leigh. (even when she's speaking in monotone, I love it)

44. OMG SLAYERS SECRET. ABOUT MY OTP. First of all WORD WORD WORD. I guess I understand the mindfucky element behind all the dark!Xel/Zel fics, but all the weepy angst slash fics of trueluvsex I just don't get. And people, when you write smut with Zel, you need to remember his stone skin! It can make for some fun sex and hurt/comfort elements (especially with Amelia! He loves to protect her, remember! So if they're getting busy and they get to into it and he hurts her, how is he going to feel? He's gonna go all broody and Zelgadis on us... /tangent)

Zel/Amelia is my OTP for LIFE. I love them so much. Amelia is such a strong female character without being bitchy and in your face, and she's happy and perky without being over the top and annoying. And Zel is a BIG DORK for not realizing that his hope for a cure probably died with Rezo since his curse was an original spell created by Rezo. He should just accept himself and shack up with Amelia already. Dumbass. And they are SO SWEET and CUTE and I loved the character development in Next and then Try kind of cocked it up but then she gave him her bracelet at the end so that was okay I guess.

This pairing does not deserve the hate it gets. :(

It has been a while since I watched/read Slayers, but didn't Zelgadiss accept who he was after the Femillia (I think that's how the city name was spelt) episode with the city of crossdressing men? Or did I just dream that part?

That said, I always saw Amelia as more of a little sister than a lover to Zelgadis. It's something about their dynamic... I agree that she's a great character, though. She's so incredibly cute!

16. I've seen this comic take constant flack, and some of it is justified. I'll admit it gets kinda whiny at times, and it moves as fast as the continental drift, but seriously- you don't need to go all out and attack the people who like it (and yes, I am one of them). Maybe they see something in the story you don't.

Deal with it, and try not to sound so much like a bitch, since I doubt that was your intent.

There isn't hardly any decent fanfic for this fandom because of the Sues and the Mpreg ... and Sonia kind of needed to be retconned out. I'm glad IGA is actually taking the time to have a consistent storyline these days. I've been a fan since the first games, but it's really nice to be getting more storyline than Belmonts fight Dracula cause he's evil.
