Could you/do you live alone?

Well yeah. I don't because I'm married but living alone was great.

I wish.

I look forward all year to the two weeks every year that my husband and kids go on vacation and I have the house all to myself.

I couldn't stand sharing a house with another person, even if we were best friends or stupidly in love. On the other hand, I couldn't live without cats and/or dogs hanging around the house.

I love living alone. I wouldn't mind sharing an apartment/house with a partner, but no way am I giving up on my own bedroom. I won't compromise on that

Yes, but I'd turn into a hermit and never talk to anyone.

I live alone, and I love every minute of it. I think I would go nuts if I ever had to share a living space with another human being again.

Yes, happily to question 1, and no, I do not, to question 2. I do get two weeks' respite from it a year, but I'm sole caregiver to a parent, so.

Yes, except for the cats.

I love living alone. I actually never technically have, but when my roommate is gone I love getting the apartment to myself.

I live alone and like it, most of the time.

When my husband's working, I pretty much am.

I have in the past and I will again soon*. I think there will be a bit of adjustment and while I'm a bit intimidated at the idea, I think once it's in practice I'll be fine like all the other times.

* I think, some 5 people have individually asked to be housemates.

I did in the past. Can't afford it now. I have 3 housemates. Most of the time I loved living alone for the obvious reasons, but I also like having people around.

I really wish I did already. I'm forced to share a flat with my sister and her boyfriend and a friend of my brothers and boy do I hate these guys. I can't wait to move out. I want my own place before I murder one of these fuckers or kill myself.

I could live alone if it came down to it, but I don't, and I don't want to.

I've lived alone for 16 years, ten of them on a boat. I can't say I'm ever really frightened, but I do hate it -- hate waking up alone, hate eating alone, hate watching TV alone, hate going to bed alone. Sometimes, when something goes wrong and I have to work out a solution, I really wish there was someone there to give me a second opinion, even if it was obviously wrong. My ex could be really hard work, but being with him was still better than the deafening silence of being alone.

don't, but I def could.

I used to think I couldn't because I'm too extroverted, but then I got really tired of annoying roommates. I can still go out and have a social life, but I like having a place to go when I want privacy, too. And I really like having control over my living environment.

It's also nice to have a place I can bring people over to, as part of said social life, without interference from people I don't know/like. And it's also instant privacy should I need some next time I find myself with a bf (privacy can be surprisingly hard to find).

Yes, I live alone. My folks keep pestering me to move back home, but I'd be climbing the drapes if I stayed with them for more than a month. Any time I want to leave the house, they put up a huge argument--unless I'm going to the gym, because everyone agrees that I'm fat and need to work out. And if I'm out after dark, my mother has hysterics.

I live alone

it's fine, and I really like being able to define my space the way I want, to work in the kitchen without worrying about anyone else's shit, etc. But it is a lot more effort to do social shit, compared to living with friends.

Oh god I love it. It can be painfully lonely, but I'd rather be lonely and at peace than being forced to put up with someone else.

I haven't had a roomate since I finished college over 12 years ago. Sometimes I wish I had one for certain practical reasons, but if I were to move in with someone for non-practical reasons, it would be a romantic partner (although I could see taking on a roomate just for company in old age to compensate for not being able to get out much).

Except for the occasional practical issue, I love living alone.

I've never done it. I had roommates in college and then got married in my senior year.

I don't think I would like it at all. Of course, if I were to be living alone at this point it would be because something had happened to my husband and kids and that would definitely destroy me.

I could. And I will be in a few days. I have been living with my mother for a number of years but we (my sister and I) decided to place in a Memory Care center as her dementia was getting beyond my ability to care for. So yes, I am going to living alone and while I don't really mind that, the reason I am doing so really, really sucks.
