For the connoisseurs of erotic works
What was the age you first started consuming porn?
In the interests of variability, we'll count any type of media including fanfiction. Accidentally finding your dad's Penthouse when you were ten, or whatever your story might be, doesn't count as consumption unless you immediately started looking for other sources of porn afterward.
So, f!s, what's your age of general perversion? If I'm being honest, I'm going to have to say 13 or 14 here.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 12:45 am (UTC)(link)I'd been reading Legend of Zelda fanfic for a while (which is pretty tame and general fun adventure stories) but when I switched to Final Fantasy VII, I was inundated with explicit fic. Started reading them and haven't really stopped to be honest.

I was both a very anxious kid who actually worried about those warnings against the underage and a prudish fundie for a while.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 01:29 am (UTC)(link)I did, however, start writing it reasonably early, because when I started writing fanfic I had it in my head that you were supposed to. It was around Goblet of Fire era HP on FF.net and 'lemons' were a thing? Or I thought they were? I figured that fanfic was supposed to come with a sex scene or two just for completeness sake.
In my defense, I got over it? There was only ... maybe three years worth of really badly written wizard porn from me. And some superhero porn. And a few really random pairings, because I genuinely and honestly thought that any and all pairings you wrote had to have sex, even when I was mostly pairing people platonically in my head.
It was a weird couple of years for all concerned.

Hubby actually cared about what I enjoyed, and even now, we sometimes watch porn together just for fun. So you can credit him for making it not terrifying for me.

I was a slight bit precocious in that department I guess.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 04:10 am (UTC)(link)to be fair, it was 1999 and that was when I first got a home computer with which I could look up anything and everything. prior to that the only computer access I had was telnet in the campus computer lab. yeeeaaaahhh.
I knew of porn when I was 9 or 10 and we had unfettered access to HBO, but lost interest in trying to sneak peeps of adult movies while my parents were out shortly after. it was just too difficult.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 07:05 am (UTC)(link)I was reading a science fiction book (Catspaw by Joan D. Vinge) and all of a sudden there was sex in it. That was hot. This was also the book that prompted masturbation, and whenever I read a book that had a sex scene, I'd always dog-ear the sex pages so I could go back to them whenever I wanted.
But the discovery of my collection was usually under the circumstance of "this book I'm reading happens to have sex in it and I like it." In my mid-teens, I also spent a lot of time staring at the scrambled screen for the playboy channel with the volume down low and my ear by the speaker. It wasn't until I was 18 or 19, when I heard about the Laurel K. Hamilton books, that I specifically picked up some of the later ones (having never read the preceding ones) just to read the smut.
It was also about this time that I started going to literotica, a site where there was both erotic literature to read and to listen to. And some of the ones to listen to were really just listening to sex, which is when I realized how much more I prefer aural porn than textual.

(Anonymous) 2015-01-06 10:02 am (UTC)(link)I don't think I'm an asexual though. I since figured out I just have very strong physical preferences/kinks and can't really get into porn unless one or both are present.
