Even if Ron/Hermione is the canon pairing you can enjoy Harry/Hermione too. @.@

I thought the shipping wars in the HP fandom were done with. That's why I went back to the fandom. .__.;;

I DON'T LIKE HIKARI EITHER. Dude, she has magical light powers? Seriously, what the hell? She wasn't so bad in the first season but after that, God. I just wanted her to go away forever. I always liked Miyako better but for some reason, everybody is always all "MIYAKO'S UGLY! EW." And Hikari's huge and weirdly mutated hips are any better. *rolls eyes* *stops ranting*

I am a member of AntiYaoi.

I don't go there to "lol at the fantards" so much and put people down... If I really was only into communities for that, I would have stayed at GAFF.

I use AntiYaoi as a pressure-valve. No, really. It's a bit like fandomsecrets, actually - it's a place where you can say things you cannot say *anywhere else in fandom* without getting flamed. Most everywhere else, people can go on about how they "hate het," "dislike het" find het boring, whatever. It seems one cannot publically dislike yaoi in a similiar way without getting flamed to Hell and back for it.

Personally, I go there to complain about a lot of the stupid double-standards I see, and about fanbrats who insist that not liking yaoi makes you Fred Phelps.

There *are* people on the com who like m/m but get annoyed at how it's portrayed in manga/doujinshi and get annoyed at the behavior of some yaoi fans. There are even homosexual and bisexual members on the community.

Honestly? For me, it's much better to *have* a place like AntiYaoi to vent to people who won't be as apt to turn it into a fight than to vent on other communities and cause wankstorms.

That's not to say that AntiYaoi doesn't get really STUPID sometimes, but it's one of those places I think fandom *needs.*

35. I was a H/Hr shipper (before I decided Harry should just be left alone) and I have to say that I agree. I mean, there were certainly hints that Ron liked Hermione, but I never once got the vibe that she liked him back until HBP, and H/G...god, I don't even want to touch that. It irked me that she went for the obvious 'unrequited-turned-fulfilled' turn with her romances...honestly, I wish she had just left the whole romance thing open ended, so that everyone would've been happy. :/

35. I couldn't agree with you more. I've been a H/Hr fan since the first book, and I honestly didn't see the supposed "anvil-sized hints" to R/Hr until HBP. And H/G? That pretty much came from nowhere.

I'm glad to see there's still H/Hr fans out there. Just because it isn't canon doesn't mean we have to stop shipping, right? :)

I don't think anyone would deny you the right to ship whatever you like. Except maybe batshit creepy people. But they don't count. ^_^

I agree wholeheartedly to this sentiment, despite seeing R/Hr coming from book one and not caring one whit about anyone IN the Gryffindor Trio or who's having babies with whom. Srsly. Ship to your heart's content and don't let anyone tell you you can't! In fandom, anything is possible.

My only issue would be the "I don't see it, therefore it isn't there, therefore JKR is a big meanie just doing this to hurt my ickle feelings" sentiment. That's the reason the Harmonians get the guff they do, as far as I can see.
