I just don't GET it. Usually, with ships I don't ship, I can at least sort-of get where people are coming from, but ... I guess I have anti-ship goggles for that pairing. They seem like friends. One womanizing "married to my ship" tomcat, and one "complement your insanity with my steady logic" friend.


... maybe because my Bones/Spock belligerent-sexual-tension goggles are in the way. Admittedly, those are some huge goggles.

Toph/aang. I sort of get zutara when I squint but Toph and Aang are just romantically incompatible to me.

It just seems so self-insert-y, too similar to pairings like Hermione/Draco for my taste, has almost no canon-backing, and Zuko/Mai were a hundred times cuter.

Shizaya and Shizuo/Celty. Shizaya because it's such a juggernaut and I just don't see it, even as someone who can get into rival/hateships. Shizuo/Celty because I like them too much as platonic friends and the main reason for anyone shipping it seems to be hating Shinra/Celty.

Basically any super popular pairing from a juggernaut fandom. I see so much of it scrolling my Tumblr dash that I'm immediately turned off.

Captain Swan, although it's a tossup whether i hate the pairing itself or the asshole side of its fandom more.

Because I've been replaying some old favorites of mine, my old pairing preferences have come roaring back. So, in the 'Tales of' series, I hate the following pairings-- Lloyd/Colette (I just love them as platonic too much), Genis/Presea (his super-weird possessiveness over her really puts me off), Guy/Luke, Asch/Luke, Jade/Anise, Jade/Dist, Yuri/Estelle (same reason as Lloyd/Colette), and Raven/Rita.

Oliver/Felicity. It's straight up ruining the show. And the shippers are quite frankly the cruelest bullies I have ever encountered. It's ridiculous.

Honestly? Most of the stuff I hate isn't because of the pairing itself*, and more the shit I see the fans do. The biggest, and best example, I've dealt with recently is the DA fandom. And just...omg DA fandom, calm down and remember "People can dislike something you like, and that's okay."

*One exception and that's less the pairing than the "wtf, writers of the series, you do realize that character A was married and their *spouse just died* when you had character B run over and start making out with them, right?" making me seriously uncomfortable.
