17. I really respect you for being able to say this. This is exactly how I feel about a lot of fiction that uses Celtic myths or motifs or whatever. They always fuck up and gimmickify things that have actual significance to people.

This made me happy. I'm not even kidding. I've never talked to anyone who sees the series that way. It's always Angst and Blood and Cutting and Rescue Me, Rescue Me and ZOMG My Girlfriend And I Are Just Like Utena And Anthy Because Apparently We've Never Seen Other Lesbians Before And Have No Other Point of Reference.

I hate this goddamn fandom, and that makes me sad. I thought the series was inspiring. One reason why I love it. But nobody sees it that way.

32. I find sims in general to be kind of creepy-looking, but I still play the games like an addict. And yeah... most of my sims are from anime or final fantasy games.

48. You're not alone. Out of all the FF games, that is the only one I cannot bring myself to like, no matter how hard I try. I remember being incredibly disappointed when I played it, because it started out really interesting (to me) and then it just fell apart. I did like Vivi, though.

I really didn't like FFIX. I didn't enjoy FFVIII but I got to the end of that game. FFIX I didn't care for the characters, the game play, or the story.

Didn't like it at all. My best friend loved it.

3. Dude, this totally describes me. (Well, not the Axel/Roxas part, but hoo boy do I do it with my tragic 'ships.)

5&6. I love FFX (and Tidus is totally the most adorkable FF male lead ever; why can't we have more like him?), but it seems like all anyone ever does is X-2 stuff or Auron/Lulu, neither of which I like at all. (Auron/Braska/Jecht FTFW. And why can I NEVER find decent Tidus/Rikku/Yuna?)

FFX wasn't my favorite Final Fantasy, but I do think it has the hands down best ending. You bet your ass I cried.

I think that's the reason I've yet to play X-2, though. I just really don't like to mess with that ending in my head, because it was beautiful, it was touching, and it didn't leave loose threads that should've been tied up. Of all the FF games, FFX was the one that really had the least reason for a sequel. Sigh. :(

(Also: I love Tidus. Didn't like him much at first, but man, he really grew on me.)

45. WORD about the Maya thing. I liked Case 1-5 but I could never accept Ema instead of Maya. My heart felt heavy and I missed her the whole time. I just need Maya to always be there. I JUST DO. >.< ^_^;

Actually, I agree with you. Secretly, though, because my friends would never shut up about it if I admitted it. I just find it too disjointed. I don't like that I finally get somewhere interesting on one plot line, and suddenly have to go work on the other one. I don't like having the characters in separate parties. And really, it's a poorly done political drama, and as a politics junkie, that pisses me off.

I had more fun working on the chocobo sidequest than playing the game.

And man, you know a game's sad when that's true.
