IDGI. Are you talking about the actors being prolific? About the characters they play being crossed over to your fandoms? What?

It's due to the fact that they're both prolific and I've never found them convincing.

They've invaded Star Trek, the MCU, the Hobbit. All media that I otherwise like they have to poison with their presence.

I get not being fond of Benedict and Martin but I think Zoe's a good actress/not annoying in her parts?

Same reason as the two actors: I just simply have NEVER bought into her acting. Plus she has said and done things at least as boneheaded as Cumberbatch and Freeman.

I just do not like the actors (and parts of their fan bases) and do not want them cast in things I otherwise enjoy. It is an irritant.

IA. I saw Sherlock before the Hobbitt movies, and he's just... doing the exact same expressions and physical schtick.

Granted, not everyone is Meryl Streep, but ffs. Even Alison Hannigan has more range!

I can honestly say I've never had this problem with any actor. I'm practiced in tuning out aspects of fandom I find annoying and I tend not to hate actors unless they do seriously shitty things.

Well I like all three of them, but I don't come close to seeing everything they're in either. I tend to like their acting and if the fanbases get annoying I give it a break and go elsewhere.

But I'm sure you are far from the only person who feels this way, especially about Benedict and Martin. (The number of projects they've been in recently probably doesn't help when you're tired of seeing their faces, but it happens.)

I agree, and I'm tired of BC and MF's fans flocking into the fandoms too.

Zoe's acting doesn't work for me. I've seen her in Star Trek, GoTG, Avatar, and I'll have to deal with her in Infinity Polar Bear. She just comes across as flat to me 95% of the time.

While I don't have problems with those actors specifically, I can relate. I have a few actors I dislike so much that I have to talk myself into watching movies/tv shows with them, if they're in something I'd otherwise be all over. It doesn't always work, though, so I guess I'll keep missing out on some things.

I don't mind them, I got a bit tired of Cumberbatch last year because it felt like he was being mentioned everywhere over here so I understand just wanting a break from them, but at the same time it isn't their fault they're popular so I can't blame them for it. I don't blame their fans either, people like who they like.

Idk they just give off a really bad vibe, at least to me anyway.
Also their fucking obsessive and annoying fanbase has kinda turned me off from them forever. And I'm dreading the day their stans come roaring into the mcu fandom, ugh.

I don't get this. They're not even that prolific. Last year alone James Franco was in 9 movies. Liam Neeson had 11. I guarantee that you're seeing a whole lot more of their faces than you are of those three you mentioned.

I'll give you that their fans can be annoying, but good lord, what fandoms aren't annoying anymore?

Agreed. Each one rubs me the wrong way and when you dislike a person that much, it makes it difficult to watch them (ie. Mel Gibson)

tbh I hate when they (or any other actor/actress) spills into other fandoms they are not really involved with. Or if they are they bring all their crazy fans.
Like, I know both Cumberbatch and Freeman were involved in The Hobbit but I hated how prevalently people were shipping Bilbo and Smaug in the fandom because of Johnlock. Ugh.
