To you, and the next two commenters... I assume this secret is aimed at people who are whatever fandom it's about (well, duh). The OP is complaining that people IN THE FANDOM are only interested in certain people/characters/whatever they are, and ignore others.

I'm not super well-informed on the subject, to get that out of the way, but I honestly feel like, if one is at all into Japanese culture, there are so, so many other sources for pretty, talented, ultra-feminine women. Like, their entire idol culture is built around this type. So it makes perfect sense to me that people who purposely seek out Takarazuka would be much more interested in something different.

Holy shit! A Takarazuka Revue Fandom Secret!! Wait, is Takarazuka Revue even a thing outside of Japan? I had no idea it even existed before riding the Takarazuka line from Toyama into Osaka everyday for two years and being brainwashed by all the posters into going.

OMG. OMG, a Takarazuka Revue fandom!!! TELL ME WHERE IT IS AND HOW I CAN GET IN ON IT, OMG!!! I never even thought to check, seriously. I've been to 3 shows and have a ton of merch and have been to some of the English language forums and stuff about it, but OMG. And now I'm back in America and don't have ready-access to pretty posters and stuff and I MUST HAVE FANDOMNESS!!!!

The otokoyaku are the big stars and the big draws, but I've always liked the musumeyaku, too. But, um, please tell me there is tons of Troupe-based star-crossed lovers fic! OMG, Star-Crossed! And Moon Troupe! OMG, dying.

It's currently down, but this is the wiki: http://www.takawiki.com/tiki-index.php and that site has a forum though not big. I think the LJ comm's dead, so most people post pics and play reviews on tumblr, just check the takarazuka tag, or hoshigumi/star troupes etc tags.

The problem is and always will be that the company itself mostly promotes otokoyaku. I think Nene was the only musumeyaku so far getting a Dinner show... Speaks for itself. Do even top musumeyaku have solo songs during shows? I can't remember it... Second problem. And then there are the fans which are mostly women and they're obviously totally into otokoyaku. I for myself really love the musumeyaku and I absolutely adore their voices! They're so talented and I think they definitely deserve more promotion and love, not just from the japanese fans but from the western fans as well.
