Since we're generalizing, we should probably say that the majority of people at The Arena are unable to wipe their own asses, and spend a lot of time asking questions that have already been asked numerous times.

They lack the ability to accept an honest answer when they post about their mean parents, abusive boyfriends, strict teachers and general whining. Maybe, and this is just a guess, but maybe the people at the Catfights are forced to vent there because they aren't allowed to post truths, and their real opinions on the sugary sweet Arena. As soon as they do say something that isn't back patting, they get in trouble, and yelled at by all the people who aren't capable of telling Susie Q that the reason her parents are mean is because she's a bratty, selfish little troll.

Just an observation. There's a lot of good people at Catfights. And pointing out their problems really doesn't negate the fact that the WYP forum at The Arena is overflowing with angst and anger and more problems than the 4th floor in a mental hospital. The only difference there, is the inability to say what you really think. So the sickness is just regurgitated. "If I post about my mean parents, 50 people will come and tell me what I want to hear and facilitate my behavior."

I know that you stick to The Arena because you will get your nose wiped and your ass cleaned for you. It's best to avoid the Catfights, were you have to carry out those duties on your own.

There's nothing stopping people from going there to defend themselves. Catfights isn't a private forum, like certain other places. If it was private, you'd be paranoid. You wouldn't know what people were saying about anyone. I think that most of the Arena like to play the "victim" and it's easier to post a "Woe is me! The mean Catfights are talking about me" thread, rather than stick up for yourself. You get more pats on the back by whining. Let's be honest, that's the mentality at the Arena. Always the martyr.

You get self respect and the respect of others by standing up for yourself.

the catfight forum isnt hidden? then why arent people allowed to post the url at the other forums, hm? why isnt it stickied for the innocent members that are getting bashed 'behind their backs'(and yes it is behind their backs because it not allowed to be known on the main boards) to see? yea thats right, they dont want to encourage ill behaviour, right. can the kettles get any blacker here? I have personally seen many people come to the Catfights to defend themselves and end up staying around. Not everyone is scared to speak their minds. Not everyone feels the need to whine on LJ. Quite a few people who were scared of Catfights, because of people like you, are not quite fond of it now.

Not all the people there are big mean bullies. And not everyone there spends all day talking down to people. There's lots of topics there that don't ever even mention a single thing pony related.

You're so totally focused on the gossip.

Do you know that when Catfights started it was specifically made so that when two people had an issue to duke out, they were instructed to take it there. This kept that kind of thing off the nicey-nice boards. And the very same people running those nicey-nice boards, have all hosted the Catfights. It's as old as this community.

The CF URL is not allowed to be posted in any of the Arena's or TP's forums because the CF is an 18+ board, for which warnings of such are consistently and prominently displayed, and both the Arena and TP are frequented by many minors. We're not talking behind anyone's back at the CF. It is not hidden. Nearly everyone capable of using the internet is capable of conducting a search for "Ponyland's Catfights" on Google. Upon completing said search, that person is perfectly capable of registering for an account and defending himself/herself against anything negative that may have been said.

The forum isn't hidden. Anyone can go there, at any time and see what's being said. They can ask for the link privately.

The reason it's not allowed to be posted in the public areas is because it's an adult forum. And while it may not be obvious to you, a lot of the people you're back patting are under 18 years old.

Well it's very warm and wonderful that Arena mods like to backpat in public at the Arena and then go behind those "kids" backs on another forum to trash them knowing there is little likelihood those individuals will see it. I'm sure if they did see it, they wouldn't think some people were quite as nice as they pretend to be.

I love how you think that posting with "Angelberries" instead of anonymous is more genuine. Why don't you post your given name, address and phone no. and then I'll consider you something other than "anonymous." I also love how anyone who disagrees with any one of you or most is a "whiner" deserving the full fury of your mentally deficient horde at her back. Congreve wrote "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" and I can only imagine how much you all must have been scorned in your lives.

You complain about Arena members whining about their personal foibles and boohooing about their lives? I guess you don't read the CF much, huh? Or is it different when it's your friends doing the whining rather than someone you don't care for? Because that's half of what you guys do and then pat one another on the back or spew some nice sexual innuendo (guess you can't do *that* on the Arena).

(And to you Arena people, why do you even let these guys in your midst? Do you see how they talk about you? Shiiit.)

If you guys were half as sexy as you imagine yourselves, you'd all have far less time to rack up thousands of posts on sundry message boards and something better to do than hang in chat with one another on Friday and Saturday nights offering consolation for your miserable lives. I'm sure it makes you feel good when you successfully bully the more compliant CF members into bowing to your mighty will. You really need to get over your God/Goddess complexes.

Oh, I would never expect to find that one of you had written an article on ketchup queen at the other site. That would require time away from the cesspool in which you wallow and actually learning to do something (like write/edit a Wikipedia article), not to mention a modicum of wit. I'm sure you have MUCH better things to do with your unemployment that require substantially less mental effort. Like conditioning pony floss or cybserexing with one of your corpulent CF buddies or even hanging out at some flea market soliciting dates for $5/hr (assuming you can afford it).

You would be surprised at what can be accomplished if you get off your ass on occasion. True I don't have your oodles of time to hang out on the Internet and rack up thousands of posts or talk shit about people for hours but I do find time to have a little fun on occasion.

Examples? Otherwise I don't believe that a MOD would actually do that on any forum, regardless of its nature. If you have no examples, then I have to question your entire stance.
