I'll be honest, I was like "Natasha has the wrong hair color" and it took me until your postscript to realise it was supposed to be Bucky.

Well, Steve is sort of a snarky asshole.

And I expect Bruce and Tony are probably into different nerdy pursuits. I imagine Tony would be more of a video gamer (I mean playing a TABLETOP paper game?).

Natasha isn't into nerdy pursuits. She is into creating identities.

And Bucky is there to play off of Steve.

Since when is Natasha a pretty white boy? And isn't Rocket voiced by another pretty white boy anyway? Though, yeah, none of these Avengers are part Filipino or of ambiguous ethnicity (as Diesel has termed himself). But I do think that's maybe Sam sitting on the other side of Steve in the last panel. I think it's kind of funny and actually I do think Tony would kind of play a variation of himself and Bruce wouldn't be that into it - I'm not sure I understand your outrage there, not everyone who is into science is into role-playing games.

I like the rewrite of this one where Natasha is Groot and... something, I forget what happened. Thor decides the whole thing needs to be told in epic Beowulf-type style and ... well, Tony pretty much is Peter Quill.

If you're trying to say that this is whitewashing POC characters, I got news for ya.

Rocket, Drax, Gamora, and Groot are all aliens. Three of them are played by non-white actors, but the characters themselves are all aliens. Extra-terrestrials. Little green men. ALIENS.

And Groot is a friggin' tree.

Human concepts of ethnicity don't really apply here.

I enjoy a post like that as something fun to theorize or joke about, but I definitely understand your frustrations with it and with the mindset.

That said, I'm so glad you said something about Bucky in this art style because all I could think reading this secret was just how feminine he looks and how offputting that is when the artist clearly had such a good command on drawing Chris Evans realistically. I know Sebastian Stan isn't everyone's cup of tea, but he definitely doesn't look like THAT!

I have never seen this before but this bothers me. Not as an Avengers fan, but as a GOTG fan. Why would you want to reduce them to that. They are in the same universe and will eventually interact with them at some point.
