I lol'd hard.

1. MIDNA. <3 I choose to believe that she isn't in Brawl because she would overpower everyone else with awesome.
5. I'm not a huge fan of Thirteen myself, but the world desperately needs more new!duckling fic. Although, come to think of it, a Wilson/Amber/Thirteen threesome would be mind-bogglingly hot...
23. I KNOW. I can't deal with the loss of the camelhair coat!
24. SEVEN. I LOVE SEVEN. (Although I find him sexier as Two... :D)
32. Why have there been ninety million secrets about this?
38. I'd read it.
39. Right. Because if we all gave up non-important fandoms and passions, we'd spend all our time curing cancer or something. I'm no sports fan, but dude, there are a lot of things people enjoy and throw money at that aren't going to improve humanity. Such as every fandom ever.
40. Heh. Yeah, I'm a little worries about that myself...
52. Well, she did bring about the gayest episode of House yet. Wilson is always going to be dating women, seriously or not. What better for a slasher than someone both House and Wilson recognize as a female version of House? Also, I think the show's done a good job as showing her in love while still being...well, a cutthroat bitch.
54. Bwah! The show reignited my dormant chai addiction.
60. !!!!!<3<3<3!!!!!!

[identity profile] faceup.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
1. Midna as a playable character would be freakin' awesome. *o* I agree that Young Link in SSBM was made of fail...he was just a little faster, weaker and whatnot. I'm not familiar with WW!Link's moves, but i'm pretty sure they're similar to that of TP!Link. *le sigh* At least WW!Link is pretty...? 8)
36. I don't see what all the hype about his voice is about, anyways. I find it's not that wonderful. Although "losing faith in humanity" because of it is a bit extreme...
49. Amen!

[identity profile] leafing.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
54. A work of fiction got me into chai too, although it wasn't that one. It was actually A Clockwork Orange. Kind of funny what fandom'll get someone to give a shot that they otherwise wouldn't have considered, though.

61. This secret is so cute. OP, I want to give you hugs.

OP of 61

(Anonymous) 2008-02-17 10:49 am (UTC)(link)
Awwwww, that makes me smile, thank you! I would gladly hug you :D

31: That's one of the reasons I didn't get far in the manga either. =/ I really don't like Winry's character but I just hate that once again it's the 'childhood friend/girl-next-door' type scenario. The kind that I hate so very, very much. I mean, really? Is it not possible for childhood best friends to not fall in love?

...quite honestly I wouldn't have minded if it had been developed better but it just. Didn't work. Winry's character in general just got under my skin and she's one of the few characters I really just hate. I'd never ship Ed/Win but I'd be less ARGH about it being canon if it was done well, and in my honest opinion, it wasn't.

This coupled with the fact that the manga plot failed to keep me interested and the pacing was just so sloooooow are the reasons I no longer keep up with the manga.

[identity profile] cryogenia.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
I agree with you on the childhood friend thing - I don't mind the manga plot and I actually like Winry, but childhood friend pairings really creep me out XD

45. 8D They all have pretty interesting dynamics... but I must say, I understand Kanda/Allen the least. =/ Unless they were willing to make lovely sandwiches with Lavi or Lenalee...

47. CAN'T UNSEE. WHICH IS COOL. I AGREE. ^^

49. Thanks.

[identity profile] lunchy.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 03:18 am (UTC)(link)
How do you see that as a troll? He/She obviously DOESN'T know anything about medicine, because if she did, she'd known that most of the things done are House are illogical/impossible. There's no need to get so testy Dr. HotShot Copy-Paste, MD.

BTW -- FAIL for using photobucket.

1. Friend me OP!! I must get to know you!

35. I wouldn't want to be his girlfriend, but I would love to just travel with him.

38. I love you♥

61. REBOOT? FUCK YEAH!

[identity profile] pavonine.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 03:31 am (UTC)(link)
16. Prime 2008, yo.

20. o.O My sympathies to you.

34. One of the best Disney movies EVER.

35. YOU FOUND WALDO!!

52. You missed the slasher-accepted point that Amber is going to be the key to House and Wilson finally hooking up. YOUR EYES, OPEN THEM.

62. LMAO, nice.

63. YAY IMMI

24. 70.

[identity profile] glamourcorpse.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 03:33 am (UTC)(link)
24. AWWW. SEVEN LOVE.
70. Simm Master or the Master in general? Cause Ainley held that DOWN. MMM Gangster master/planet of Fire for the win.

Re: 24. 70.

[identity profile] xanykaos.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
70. I kinda think Simm!Master owes a lot to Ainley!Master. Ainley always seemed so sinister-yet-playful (and strangely sexy) to me.

Hate. >_< We have to watch that every morning at the beginning of school. How am I not supposed to burst out into laughter now? You have made school even more difficult.

[identity profile] ichthyosaur.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
4. Aghhh I was so let down in the way The Golden Compass series turned out. I remember reading the first when I was like nine and loving it, thinking the second was alright and being bitterly disappointed in the third after waiting three years for it to come out. :| I got mildly interested in Everworld, really liked the first few books but didn't get to the end of the series--I vaguely know what happens? But if you think you could have done them better, you're probably right.

34. I know she's so cute :D

39. Are we talking an actual fandom here, or just fans of NFL teams? Like, there's seriously not a real fandom that, idk, slashes Tom Brady and Tony Romo right? If not and you're just harping on NFL fans, buzzoff. I love me my Cleveland Browns, and while I don't like that the NFL supports United Way, a charity that has been notoriously corrupt, I will freak out if the Browns ever go to the Superbowl. And it will matter who won the Superbowl, to someone. Definitely to me, if it's my team. And damn if the commercials aren't funny.

48. They inspired me! Animorphs is my Forever Fandom, I'll never get tired of it. 8D

61. REBOOT holy crap I've still got the first three seasons on my computer. Looooove <3

30

(Anonymous) 2008-02-15 03:55 am (UTC)(link)
Yes yes and yes. Kaiji and Akagi and Kin to Gin are all amazing, but people just can't seem to get over the fact that they aren't OMG bishies!
It's a pity such fantastic series are overlooked because of that. At least the fans of it in the English speaking world aren't terribly shallow or fanbratty because of it, though.

The anime has some pretty slick character designs, though. Maybe it'll raise the popularity.

Re: 30

[identity profile] ex-seventee.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I haven't actually seen anyone on the internet go 'OMG not bishie!' as a reason not to watch Kaiji. First person I've ever seen say the noses put them off was a comment in this F!S post, actually. Sometimes, I think people don't give anime fans enough credit.

... Then I interact with anime fans again and am proven wrong. (ZAWA ZAWA)

66.

(Anonymous) 2008-02-15 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
... am I the only one that got really annoyed by this secret?

Maybe you're just not looking in the right places, because I'm sure that you could find at least one person to share your interests. And there are 'straight and boring' people everywhere; moving isn't going to help you escape that.

Not to mention I think that fandom has had far too much of an influence on you; bisexual and gay men aren't as common as you seem to think they are. Things depicted in anime/manga ≠ real life.

(Also, I don't see how having a bisexual boyfriend would be any different to having a straight one. o_O)

Re: 66.

(Anonymous) 2008-02-16 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
So she could tell him to make out with guys for her, duh! (And this is less offensive than guys who like to watch girls make out how?)

Oh, and gotta love "straight and boring". Goody, another "straight people aren't cool enough" fangirl.

Second Glance (Jodi Picoult), anyone?

[identity profile] hopelikefever.livejournal.com 2008-02-15 04:18 am (UTC)(link)
1. Anything having to do with Midna gets an automatic "FUCKIN' A YEAH" from me. 8D

58. I love writing and roleplaying characters who love someone because they feel what I don't.

Sounds like you can. You just need to explore the emotion a little more, no?

63. Imogen Heap is truly an amazing woman. ♥ Her lyrics are so moving and intelligent, vague and nonsensical, but always appropriate enough for me to be touched by them in one way or another. The Walk is my absolute favorite song by her, and... sdbiguydfhbiudh Too much love... overwhelming...

48. My bf and I were just talking about this. We were both hardcore into Animorphs when it was out and while I've reread the series a couple years ago and he hasn't, we both agree that even when we hadn't picked up the books in years, the themes and characters still stayed with us very vividly.
EVERY time I see a hawk, since I was 12 or 13 (and I'm almost 23 now, so ten years), I've thought of Tobias. Every time I eat Raisinettes, or someone talks about The Fly or what goes on in an animal's mind...

And the themes of bigotry, responsibility, consequences of war, coping with hard stuff, consequences, the gray area between, empathy... Without exaggeration, those books shaped who I am today and how I see the world. They're at least a good third of my influence. And people always comment on what a Good Person I Am.

The series was really heavy and ahead of its time; I still hate that it's considered a "children's book". I know a lot of adults who could learn a LOT from the series.
Edited 2008-02-15 04:31 (UTC)

Every time I eat Raisinettes

Globules!!!

I never really got to read a whole lot of them, but I read a fair ammount, and I can say, between a few episodes of Batman TAS and Animorphs, I know why I secretly suspect that just about everything in the world is a trap of some kind, usually involving aliens or wacky science.
