I deeply love those books still, and think about them a lot even today. I forget just which one it was, but in one there was a passing mention of Doctors Without Borders - now I'm in college and pre-med and hoping to work with them someday. The connection isn't as obvious as yours, I guess, but... the way the books talked about warfare, courage, and morality had a huge affect on this decision. Those stories still have a huge hold on me. They have for years.

1. What bothers me is that WW!Link had so much potential. They could have done so much with his moveset, using items that were from WW, but instead we get yet another clone. :\

But yeah, IAWTS. As much as I love WW!Link, Midna would have been better.

I fucking love Suikoden. LOVE IT. My sister and I replay the first one every summer at least once. Each. That game rules. I don't have two, but I have three, and I love it too! Let's me and you start our own, tiny, non-furry Suikoden fandom. There used to be a woman who wrote amazing fic. I don't think I could find her again, but damn.

39. Not that I am an NFL fan, but seriously! Considering how much money is poured in to the LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL ANIMU fandoms, you could say that ALL money spent on ANY fandom should be channeled to bettering humanity.

Seriously, you want to make a difference? Stop spending money on YOUR fandoms and go spend it on the sciences!


49) I half think you might be someone I know, but I totally agree with you. Back in America, I have more books then you can shake a stick at, and my home here in Japan is covered withe reading materials in English AND Japanese. Yes, I like anime, and am an anime fan, but HOT DAMN I like a VAST MAJORITY of what gets posted here on F!S.

And if I still lived in the US, I'd probably be watching more US tv then Japanese stuff. (I just watch what's on tv, guys).

I'm not a NFL fan either, actually I hate sports, but a fandom is a fandom is a fandom, whether it be bands, anime, or anything else for that matter. So, unless you're not spending ANY money on your fandoms, then you really shouldn't say anything :/
