24. I love David Tennant, but I do kind of wish they hadn't thrown away the distinguished-older-man model for the Doctor. There aren't enough distinguished older men on TV these days and it means Alan Rickman probably won't be 11 it kind of feels like they're throwing away the old values just to appeal to a modern audience. Not that I know anything about pre-Nine Who anyway. But.

Read the manga! The manga is awesome. And the second season is an incredible complement to it as well.

But, um, we get Saki and Kousaka's backstory in like, the first part of the anime IIRC. But then it's been a while since I watched the anime so maybe it's only in the manga.

There's a little bit of other backstory for Kousaka in the "next week on Genshiken" previews in the second season, but not much :(

Not entirely related, but: it was KILLING me that I couldn't figure out where I'd seen that girl before. (Keeley Hawes, Zoe from Spooks) Also, I need to see Life on Mars; all of my friends keep praising it.

It's sort of kind of the best show ever (Life on Mars, I mean).

And the thing is, like I keep saying to everyone, it just has such an emotionally satisfying ending. Clearly, you have to watch the rest of the show to get the impact, so even if it doesn't seem like awesomesauce at first glance, it's worth the trip.

Also, I think the fantastic writing, cast, dialogue, character interaction, and 70s clothes are just an excuse to have the most phenomenal soundtrack I have ever heard in any show.

39. I agree, but I don't think the NFL is the cause of all of America's ills, I just think professional sports in general is kinda retarded. I'm sure the athletes LOVE playing sports as a job, and that's cool, but... why do people pay so much to WATCH a bunch of men throw balls at each other? If there was some accompanying storyline I'd probably understand, but ... just... what?! Go outside and play the damn sport yourself, wouldn't that be more fun?

I asked my dad why he cared who won what football game and he asked me why I liked to play video games so much and he promptly ignored me when I explained that not only do video games had things like plot and interactivity.

See, I even get why people play sports games because you actually interact with those, but just watching people you probably DON'T KNOW play sports is kinda... boring?
