Possibly yes? Likewise there are a lot of women that can't commiserate with you on that. Either because they don't have periods or because the experiences people have with their periods can vary so much.
Making friends with people because of their gender on the wild chance that they might have a similar menstrual cycle as you, and you can commiserate together occasionally, seems like a poor deciding factor for friendships to me.

If you can't fully explain it, then how do you know that your experience is a shared one with other women? They could be experiencing an entirely different cramp, that feels nothing like yours, and have no personal experience of what your cramps feel like at all.
That's if they even experience cramps.
It's just like I'm never going to understand what testicle pain feels like or having 'blue balls'
Yet some women speak of having a "blue clit" so they clearly experience a feeling that they perceive as analogous to "blue balls".

(Anonymous) 2015-12-14 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)Sorry that the real world is now slowly starting to treat trans people like human beings. Must be hard for your fee fees...

(Anonymous) 2015-12-14 01:18 am (UTC)(link)In most circumstances, if a woman wants to bitch about her period, MOST* other women are going to be able to empathize with the experience.
*Most, not all, some exceptions exist, etc etc etc

As would most men.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-13 09:28 pm (UTC)(link)But statistically, I will have a better chance asking my female friends about it. Like...WAYYY better of a chance.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-13 09:35 pm (UTC)(link)you want someone to source the claim that - taking the male and female populations - more people in the female group will be able to commiserate about menstruation than people in the male group
i mean, like. do you want a source for the claim that more women menstruate than men. is that what you're asking for here
am i missing something here, wtf is going on

(Anonymous) 2015-12-13 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)I mean, unless everyone is friends with lots of male gynecologists and FtM transmen? Which again, is statistically unlikely. (Even without me finding a study...)
no subject
Nope. I'm asking for the basis of the nonny's belief that, statistically, female friends would be more able to commiserate about menstruation than male friends.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-14 12:54 pm (UTC)(link)I get the feeling you have only male friends/no female friends and are trying to justify it in some bizarre way. You're way too defensive and weirdly offended here.
