Post examples, but only rag on what you don't like about the art, not the artist themselves. Try to leave beginner artists out of this too.

The kind of style Disney uses in it's newer 3D animated movies - specifically, Tangled and Frozen. :/ Oh well.

I don't like really goofy, caricature type cartoon art like Sponge Bob and such. Also, anything like Steven Universe, just yuck.

And Adventure Time, it sucks. I'd prefer the style of Galaxy High.

I like the designs of the gems in Steven Universe, but the human characters are all hideous.

Same. I honestly find 99% of current western cartoons to be so goddamn ugly. It's like they've gone out of their way to highlight the least appealing features of the designs.

SU? Hideous pig noses and character designs that make no sense at all (triangle hair, wtf?). Adventure Time? Weird noodle arms and again the characters are just made of shapes. Spongebob? Damn near Ren and Stimpy levels of 'make everything look really gross'.

It's just... ugh.

Impressionism

I can't stand Adventure Time's noodle style. It's sort of cute, but it's also really off-putting to me. I think a lot of current cartoons are really ugly. That 'Star vs The Forces of Evil' show is hideous.

I don't mind that style so much in print/still comics. At least when it's not super distorted appendages. Like gingerhaze's stuff is ok, not my favorite by fine. But when it gets animated, and people are moving limbs around like earthworms, that starts to creep me out because I start thinking about what the skeleton and musculature must be like to make that possible and I don't like that.

Star takes me back to the early 00's, but some of the animation applied to it makes it look really, really ugly at points.

Most popular anime styles, tbh. Mostly the stuff where everyone has the exact same face, they all look like children and/or they look like creepy bug alien things.

Like the current ones or do you mean something else?

I feel this way about Attack on Titan. I couldn't even get past 30 seconds in the first episode, it was just unerving.

The studio that did Rugrats and The Wild Thornberrys. Even though I liked the shows I thought they were ugly af.

YES. Goodness they were rough to look at. That and many of the animated shows of that time. Especially Ed, Edd, and Eddy. God that show hurt my eyes. And my brain. And Amanda Anaconda, or whatever that show's name was.

I really liked Recess and Hey! Arnold's style. It was comforting. And Courage. It was weird, but I enjoyed it.

Clamp chins/dorito faces (https://i.ytimg.com/vi/7PQQ87OnMjo/maxresdefault.jpg http://images.mcanime.net/images/anime/1175.jpg). Chins shouldn't be sharp enough to slice bread.

Also this one time I read a doujinshi where the character's eyes looked like creepy china doll's eyes. Terrifying.

purplekecleon's style makes for some incredibly awkward porn imo. like it's just fine from a purely technical standpoint, but the super saturated rainbow colors on MLP-esque furries who barely have more anatomical detail than an emoji and I just...legit cannot understand how anyone can find the art to be erotic. it's like trying to masturbate to a lisa frank poster. there is just so much better porn out there.

Okay, I follow a lot of art blogs on Tumblr and I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why there are roughly six million artists who have the same "big eye Bratz doll" style. Like this, except I don't mean the original Big Eye art from the 70s-80s by Margaret Keane.

And half the time, the art features female figured with faces like this but with either nude or gory-horror bodies, like it's SO EDGY, you guys, except for the fact that this is completely unoriginal by this point.

I just don't understand why SO MANY people use this style.

I was never fond of the counterculture "comix" style of artists like R. Crumb. It's like it's ugly just for the sake of being ugly.

I'm not keen on the current photography trend of super in focus face but everything else blurred and the edges darkened. First couple of times it was nice but when every photo is like this? Eh.

same old cartoony faces that appear in all the modern cgi movies.

Big eye little mouth anime is ugly and scary to me. it sets off my uncanny valley alarms no end.
