Because I'm Jewish and bored out of my mind. No mail delivery and nothing on social media that isn't red and green and Christmas memories all over. Also I have the worst craving for chicken prepared a certain way and everywhere's closed. That's the biggest part.

You'd be surprised. I know a few Jews who aren't Messianic at all (and view Messianic as being utterly fucking weird) but celebrate Christmas with their friends. It's as much a secular holiday as it's a religious one, at this point.

Oh man, I totally missed this wank. Just wanted to say that we celebrated Christmas Eve with my Mom's best friend, who is Jewish, and have been doing so for a few years.

My bf and I are non-believers, and we're also in it for the family stuff, not the Christian stuff either.

I've started hating Christmas too, although I'll probably stop caring tomorrow. I just came home from a trip yesterday night and forgot I'm out of everything at home and I've been feeling peckish for all kinds of food all day. I've blacklisted Christmas on Tumblr and now my dashboard is just a long list of hidden posts.

At least it means the Christmas season is... almost almost over? It doesn't really end until New Year's, but if you consider it starting after Thanksgiving we're in the home stretch.

Dude I'm from a family who loves the hell outta Christmas and makes a huge deal of it, but damn the people in this thread getting all offended at OP are being whiners.

People are allowed to have their personal feelings on it, and it's dickish to treat OP like they're being horrible. OP isn't even being rude to people who like it or dissing on them.

this year I love Christmas but other years I really hate it too and I think it's okay for you to vent here...like all the threads are christmas related right now and you probably felt like eating your chicken and talking about your ot3s or something.

Also I get the "everywhere's closed" bit, I just stayed at home today and kept thinking "Man, I should go to the bookstore, I bet nobody's there--oh yeah..."

Yeah, today is pretty fucking boring if you're not doing anything Christmas related.

Not Jewish, but already had family Christmas last week. Everyone on social media is having fun and it's a normal boring day for me. I've got like 0 Christmas spirit over here. Can't blame you for being salty at all.
