How would one, technically, get someone fired?

This is a person at a temp job I work at. And before you think I'm an awful person, this is a downright bully who is in a position of power (but not upper management). I don't care if I get fired in the process, actually, it's a shit job. Frankly I just want to take her down a notch.

Honestly I would if I knew them well, but I have not been there long. For all I know they're equally horrid people.

No, technically the temp agency is my employer. And the bully is actually the person who selected candidates.

Honestly, if she's as bad as she sounds, she'll get fired eventually. I say this from experience; I dealt with an office bully for a long time, one day I came in and she was putting stuff in a box. No one liked her.

Also, is a temp job. Don't do anything that might make you look bad down the line when it's a temporary problem. Because in all honesty, if she's as big a bully as you say she is, she could make things very bad for you if you try anything. At the very least, if you get fired for getting someone else fired, how do you explain that to future employers? You won't be able to put that job on a resume.

Meh, it's just a shit call center job for money. It's not necessarily something I even want to put on any resume.

I'd like to make a bit more money out of it, but that's about it.

Complain to HR if you think there's a valid complaint to be made

IDK man, shitty people being in power is kind of the way of the world. there's not always anything you can do about it.

Human resources exist to protect the company from lawsuits, not to protect staff from abuse. Never go to HR unless you have to. If you are the personal victim of bullying then go to an employment lawyer BEFORE you go to HR.

Just find out where they live, go to their house, cut one of their tires and let the air out of the other three. They'll have to replace one (no four for three deal for you, asshole) and they'll wear out unevenly, and they'll never drive that car again without thinking about it.

Much simpler than getting them fired. Just make sure you get the right house and car. Don't want to target their neighbor.

Sounds like you're the one who should be fired, for trying to frame someone. Seriously, I would never want someone like you as an employee.

If this person is a bully, talk to HR. Report the things that they are doing. Anything more than that and I guarantee, you are the worse employee.

I probably am the worse employee - no doubt she's the sort of person who gets shit done, even if she has to humiliate people for it. I don't particularly care about that if I have to tolerate someone being awful to people. I'd rather be the worst employee in the world and have a vestige of my moral integrity intact than vice versa.

NAYRT - You know, you can have both. What you can't do is sabotage someone's career.

You're no better than her if you do something to make her lose her job. That is her livelihood, even if she's a bully while doing it. And if she gets shit done, she clearly enjoys it. Meanwhile, from what you're saying, this is a job you're not even going to really remember once it's over.

Stop being so concerned with taking people down and learn how to deal with power bully. Study them. Learn from them. Befriend them. Or don't befriend them. Treat everything they say and do with objectivity, and pretend you have no stake in the outcome of this person's actions. You're going to work with a bunch of different people with different personalities throughout your lifetime, and you will probably encounter this asshole type more than once. If you're obsessed with bringing people down, even someone who you think might deserve it, then you aren't doing anybody any favors, and quite frankly, I don't see how it makes you any better than the person you do want to take down.

I understand not appreciating a shit job, but that shit job may be an important one you need to include on your resume/CV. No matter how horrible a job is, you should never do anything that you don't want getting breathed to the next people who might hire you. I mean, would YOU want to hire you? Someone who doesn't care about their job, and instead of finding constructive ways of passing the time, or thinking of ideas that might benefit the company, they would rather cause drama and knock down a member of the team? Think about it.

Ooooh I worked at a call center once. Never again, but it did taught me to be nicer to the people who did that kind of job because it was hell.

Anyway, if you can then get a ton of people to complain about her. And if you want to quit, start looking for a job before doing so. Getting fired will only get you bad references while she will remain in her position.
