15. Hell no, you aren't late. Sailor Moon fandom is extremely active! I still write the occasional fic myself. So go ahead, write your fic and link us! I doubt anyone will laugh at you unless it's some cliche Sailor Earth/Sun/Star or something like that.

51. Same here. Sailor Moon was the first anime I saw and I've never grown out of it. I know that there are "better" series, but I always find myself thinking back to Sailor Moon. I've grown so attached to the characters for almost ten years that I don't think anything compares to it for me anymore.

53. They both annoyed me. I can't really explain why I didn't like her, but she just rubbed me the wrong way. I'm glad she got the baby and I'm sure she took good care of him, but she was just overbearing about it in the beginning. Seriously, advertising in the classifieds for a baby?

Agreed on BOTH counts. I've been writing fanfiction for a million years, and there are plenty of people who read them. So go ahead and write! :D

And I doubt I can ever grow out of it. I just enjoy it that much.

51. *gives you piece of the internet*

[identity profile] raven-scarlett.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
14. HOLY CRAP. Thank you so much for giving the link! To think I've never known of it... It'll tide me over quite well until season three airs. God, I'm so excited.

22. Sakura! <3

42. Fact: Kouichi was the only thing I liked about Frontier and the only thing from it to stick with me (well, that and how I, too, shipped him with Kouji).

67. I find both to be awesome and interesting :B.

KIMONO DOOOOOZO

fuck yes I love those books and I love you for posting this

I had so much fun with the textbook and the activities that came with it with those characters ♥ ♥ ♥

you sir or madam have just reminded me of some of the best years of my life and I love you for it

8. I see what you're saying here. I think he needs to grow up a little before he can get with anybody

16. You're not! I wish her kid personality and adult personality would be integrated, though.

27. Step back a little.

37. Well I hope your friend knows about it and you're the public face. It's one thing to be a liar and it's another thing to be a shitty, backstabbing art thief "friend."

52. Shitty friend alert (not you, her.)

53. He is indeed an asshole.

OP 16

(Anonymous) 2008-03-05 03:35 am (UTC)(link)
if her two personalities were integrated maybe i would have warmed up to the adult nel. but so far she bores me. i liked how little nel annoyed ichigo

8. Wait, whatever happened to adopting?

(Anonymous) 2008-03-05 12:55 am (UTC)(link)
35. well lol@you because I just happen to be interested in linguistics (as well as fandom *gasp*) and list all the languages I know/am studying on my profile. oh noes, I clearly must be a weeaboo!

27) Way to blame someone else for your unwillingness to work on your craft. That's the most pathetic reason I've ever heard for hating a person, AND for giving up on a dream.

WRITE ANYWAY DAMMIT.

Write and work at it and GET BETTER. So what if you're never better than Rowlin? (It's not THAT hard, really...) Not being better than Rowling doesn't mean that nothing you can produce will be any GOOD. There's alot of things you could be that are worse that 'kind of pale compared to an internationally famous filthy rich children's author'.

The effort is still worth it. Try anyway. You never know what you can do until you stop giving up too soon and actually give it a shot.

[identity profile] klytaemnestra.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 12:58 am (UTC)(link)

8. I'm not even really in the fandom any longer, but I agree. Ichigo is kind of asexual.

19. Oh I know exactly how you feel.

24. I'm just a complete fangirl over 18th century British naval officers. I swear there's nothing sexier.

37. ... wow. And your friend is cool with this? WTF?

45. Hey, I'm a Catholic fangirl. I know that sounds kind of crazy, but getting to the core of everything I am a fangirl over Catholicism. I love the traditions, the imagery, et cetera. Yes, I am more or less Christian -- albeit not a very good one -- but I completely fangirl over Catholicism. It's weird.

49. I'm kind of the same way. If I check your userpage and see that you have thousands of faves, I usually won't ever bother with any thanks because my art probably didn't mean anything to them. It was just 'pretty' and they added it because I have pageviews.

52. What the hell? I will admit that I don't really appreciate people trying to weasel their way into my cosplay groups if that character is already filled but if someone wants to go off to another con and cosplay with other people, that's perfectly cool. I do it, my friends do it. I'm sorry your friend is such a possessive bitch. As long as you're not trying to replace your friend why should it matter?

32 and 34

10. HAHA OH WOW.

RULE 34. NOW. SOMEBODY. PLEASE.

54. I would love to get into Strawberry Shake Sweet. From what I've seen, it's a really nice manga. Plus, I need something to keep my "girl love" interest fed since Sweet Blue Flowers hasn't had a new chapter or anything in FOREVER. ಥ_ಥ

63. Holy crap why didn't I think of this? This could totally work. xD lol their boyfriends are like clones.

8) YES. I feel the same way about Ishida sometimes. Asexual, but good father material. This is why there's adoption-- it worked for Kenpachi!

11) MAKE ME UNSEE IT D:
cyanglow: tgcf screencap (kenpachi)

8

[personal profile] cyanglow 2008-03-05 05:14 am (UTC)(link)
Not the OP, but I lol'd and partially agree here. 'Though I do see Ishida more as "mom" material, due to the sewing thing. :D

[identity profile] post-position.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
51. Yes! Sailor moon was one of those series that was just so epic for me when I was a kid ( I totally bawled at the end of the first season XD!) and that I still love now, although I havent watched in a while XD! Makes me want to rewatch my fav parts again XD! I don't think I'll ever grow out of the love i have for it XD!

YAY PHOENIX HAS RETURNED TO CLAIM HIS RIGHTFUL PLACE AS SECRET MASTER, BOOTING SYLAR AND DEATH NOTE OUT OF THE WAY LOLOL

1. I don't think there's anything wrong with encouraging budding artists. Not everyone is completely elite on the first try, those positive comments are what gets them to continue drawing and improving. I'd hate to crush someone's dreams and be responsible for them never drawing again, that's a potential artist that we lost. Besides, there isn't one acceptable standard for art, there are many different kinds, I mean just look at Jhonen Vasquez's work, it's not anatomically correct and is sometimes horribly grotesque, but yet his work is loved and followed by many people including myself. It's ok to be different and I think encouragement is way better than crushing.

7. Oh wow, I had no idea that Utena was written by a man!

37. OBJECTION!

42. WTF?

45. I always thought it would be cool if people felt about the Bible like they did about fandom. ^_^ hehe GO FOR IT!

56. Yeah Yu Yu Hakusho and Inuyasha crossovers are so common! Probably because of the whole 'demon' factor, Kurama/Kagome I've read back in the day but I don't know why either LOL I actually read some Yusuke/Kagome fics that I think were better than the Kurama/Kagome ones XD

Re: 1, 7, 37, 42, 45, 56,

Heh. I don't like it when any one fandom dominates a post, but if it had to be something... better Phoenix Wright than Sylar (WTF) or Death Note (WTF).

2. Good God, my Japanese teacher in high school Japanese teacher used to copy the comics from those books and have us try to translate them. Good times.

I believe Genki was already talked about on the first page, but we're using those books now in college. Mary is a WHORE!!! That is all.

15. I've been tossing around ideas for an SM fic for several years now, but I just can't get myself motivated enough to actually write anything down.

20. Despite the Twilight image, I couldn't agree with this secret more. Kennedy needs to DIAF, or at least stay dead and never be heard from again.

51. Sailor Moon is what got me into anime as well. I don't think I'll ever become attached to a series quite as much as I did to that one.

56. People actually ship that?

And what is a vagina doing in my F!S?

[identity profile] i-am-slrearth.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 01:34 am (UTC)(link)
*Did I just type out Japanese teacher twice in that sentence? Ooooppps. Way to not pay attention to what I'm typing.

51

(Anonymous) 2008-03-05 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
i never saw the anime because it wasn't on tv where i live, but the manga was the first one i ever got really into and nothing has ever come close for me since, artistically or story-wise.

1. =/ Troodat, but slashing up a person to hell is not a solution either. But I get what you're saying. >> Honest crit is taken in such a horrible direction over the internet... I wonder why?

3. Sauce?

[identity profile] lovegonnadrown.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
3.) Is... is that the main character in the middle?

If so, HELLZ YEAH, CROSSDRESSING EMO BOYS. <3 *has nothing to do with the secret*

8.) Y'know, this made me think "Ichigo should adopt. He would make the best foster father ever."

And now I'm plotbunnied. Damnit, OP, stop making me imagine adorable things. :<

16.) Don't worry, you're not alone. Adult!Nel is kinda just another Yoruichi, in my opinion. :<

I absolutely agree with you. However, and this may seem harsh, but I'm glad that "writers" who aren't serious fall out of love with their dream every day...makes my future in publishing so much easier. I'd hate to turn away that many poorly-written, half-finished manuscripts. Plus, I want to be a writer someday and the less competition, the better my chances.

[identity profile] flutingfrenzy.livejournal.com 2008-03-05 01:45 am (UTC)(link)
I am seriously loving these Sylar anti-secrets. Do they form a puzzle, too?

66. For serious, what is it about Phoenix Wright that makes me ship EVERYBODY with EVERYBODY ELSE? Also, FUCK YEAH Phoenix/Lamiroir. They need to get married, like, yesterday.

(Edited to use Franziska icon. Because I'm seeing a lot of Franziska icons in these comments, and I'm a bandwagon sort of person.)

(Anonymous) 2008-03-05 03:56 am (UTC)(link)
WHY YES THEY DO! THERE'S :D *shot*

Nope. Me and the poster of not!secret 4 were getting fed up with the number of Sylar secrets that kept going up of "I WANNA DO SYLAR". Srsly... ew. He's an ugly douche that needs to die. Everyone else that did a secret along the lines of "STFU about him already" or something like that, was a classic case of mindhive. ;D

Where IS this fandom? I saw a little bit of this series on daily_yuri, and it looked cute.

I wish the Black Lagoon fandom was bigger too. Although, I haven't done much to contribute to it at all. :F

Keep Jin. I love the guy, but IMHO he's overexposed. Same with Kame. Give me Ueda, Junno, Maru and Koki (in that order) any day. They don't get nearly as much attention as they deserve
