Not a Snape/Hermoine shipper myself but inspired by the wank (almost actually feels like a fandom in here, bless). So! What ships do you have that are "bad"? Any favorite ships where the dynamics are awful but you just can't get over it? If they're your go-to porn pair, you get bonus points.

I basically only ship rival or enemy ships. I am just not interested in pursuing fanfic/whatever of fluffy happy realistically "good" ships. So my favorite ships are ones like L/Light from Death Note... if being one of the most popular slash pairings in anime is considered "bad" I guess. lol

Are there any 'good' ships for Death Note? I remember het ships with Misa coming under fire too.

It has next-to-no fandom but I ship Andie/Steff from Pretty In Pink. I feel bad about it, does that make it better?

It's been years and I'm still sad that a WIP Steff/Duckie fic never updated.

Pretty in Pink is such a small fandom with very little fic output. :(

Maedhros/Maglor. Why do I ship this?

Celebrimbor/Sauron probably should get a mention because of how awful it is for poor Celebrimbor. They are one of my three go-to porn pairs.

We've also been having this discussion on Tumblr about very noncon stuff with Sauron/Maedhros and Melkor watching. I so ship it right now.

Pretty much any hero/villain ship. I like dark, creepy, non-con stuff. Voldemort/Harry. Which I don't ship as much as I used to but still like in a non-con sense. Bucky/various Hydra people, though only when there is comfort from Steve later. Buffy/Angelus can be interesting (and sometimes more interesting than Buffy/Angel precisely because it is openly creepy and awful).

I guess villain/villain pairings count, though I don't see them as awful the way some do. Melkor/Sauron and Kylo/Hux would be my top two right now. Definitely my other two go-to porn ships.

Gamora/Nebula. I guess I've realized I like messed-up incest ships. Not treated as healthy, but really unhealthy dynamics that the characters just can't stay away from. This used to be Jaime/Cersei for me, but I'm not really into GOT anymore.

Haytham/Connor from Assassin's Creed.

Kylo/Hux from Star Wars.

Yes to Kylo/Hux. Why do I love this ship so much? I came out of the movie shipping so many things, but now I mostly just read Kylo/Hux fics.

Spuffy. Spuffy is my Buffy OTP. It's a complete mess, they are both abhorrently violent towards each other, Buffy used him and before he got his soul back, Spike attempted to rape her. I don't care. I want them together. Not just together, but OOC fairytale 'and they lived happily ever after with their white picket fence' together.

(Most of this love stems from season 6, during which I also shipped Warren and Andrew, which was just as bad if not worse)

Oh, the Spuffy wank. Of her three main beaux, I did like that pairing the most.

For Andrew, I mostly liked it as unrequited that Andrew is still trying to get over after Warren's death.

I was way into Spuffy. I've come to only ship Buffy/Spike/Angel as a threesome really. But Spuffy is a fun ship.

I have a soft spot for Spuffy, maybe because it does seem so much more messy and real? Plus, the two characters just seemed to spark together. I wish the writers had actually been able to handle it better; half the time, they seemed confused about what they were writing. I remember they actually had to come out and say, no, they weren't (deliberately) portraying Buffy as abusive.

I was probably predisposed to Spuffy since I started watching in Season 6 (while eventually watching DVDs of previous seasons at the same time), so the first time I saw Spike and Buffy interacting was when Spike saw Buffy, and realized she was back, and that scene and the look on his face just burned into my brain.

- Asuka/Shinji from Evangelion - It's abusive, they're both fucked up, and he masturbates over her comatose body yada yada. Shinji/Kaworu is cute, I guess, but I find it boring.

- Ichimatsu/Karamatsu from Osomatsu-san - They're brothers, and Ichi is really mean to Kara. The show....has kind of encouraged shippers considering Ichi has been confirmed to actually be weirdly tsundere for Kara and also because of a misunderstanding, one of their brothers walked in on them half naked and on top of each other and thought they were fucking.

- Rin/Gou from Free! - Brother and sister. No excuse for this. I just didn't really give a shit about Seijuro, and I wanted fanart of Rin eating out a girl with his weird shark teeth.

- Marianne/Cornelia from Code Geass - Ten year age gap, Cornelia is Marianne's son's half sister, but I liked their interaction in the light novels and how much Cornelia looked up to her.

Most recently it's been Adam/Blake from RWBY and Kylo Ren/Rey from Star Wars. Alas for my apparent fetish for horrible relationship dynamics, it seems to be hard to find any fic for either of those that isn't fluffy (or I'm looking in the wrong place entirely, and if that's the case someone help a man out)

Does villain on hero noncon count?

I'm a sucker for Hermione/McGonagall, so I'm in no position to throw stones at the Snermione shippers. I also like Kakashi/Sakura, which gets a ton of shit despite not being all that ~problematic~ compared to a lot of ships.

I ship Wincest too, which nobody used to bat an eyelash at, but is now "bad".

Jade/Nephry (Tales of the Abyss) - he literally played God for her. That's the kind of messed up obsessive devotion I crave. (This is my go-to porn pair but there is literally nothing of it, so I just stew in my own frustrated imagination.)

-Levi is Eren's superior officer
-Levi is an unknown number of years older than him (possibly 15)
-Eren is a minor in canon
-there was that episode where Levi beat Eren up in front of a court (to save his life)

I originally shipped it as a joke, so idk what happened to me. I do think that their dynamic is mostly positive in canon. Eh, as far as sins go, could be worse.

Hmm, Sesshoumaru/Kagome, Snape/Hermione, I dunno if Kakashi/Sakura is considered one, but with the influx of people who consider age gap pairs to be pedophilia (nevermind the fact that most of us age them up anyway), but yeah I ship that one.

Kagami/Chuutarou from Donten ni Warau.

Big age gap, Kagami is a messed up murder who tried to manipulate Chuutarou more than once, one of those time kind-of successfully, and tried to kill Chuutarou and his brothers and everyone else around.

But... Chuutarou promising not leaving Kagami alone, Kagami's complicated feelings for Chuutarou and both of them protecting each other are just too much for me to resist, plus this ship hits my redemption kink pretty hard.

I recieved this lovely response from an anon when I was posting about my Star Wars ships on my blog:

And that was because I posted my Luke/Rey fic. lol

Almost all of mine are "bad". Mabel/Bill for one. Joker/Harley is another that I've tried to overcome but I just can't. I've been leaving and returning to that ship for years. Hannibal/Clarice is my jam too.

I'm surprised Sarah/Jareth doesn't get more shit considering her age but I guess it's not on most people's radars these days. I used so much smutty darkfic of them.
