Er, I kinda do have many friends outside of roleplay that I go out with? Without wearing a costume? I never thought anime cons were a good place to socialize, really, they´re too crammed and noisy, I like cafés, or parks, or ...any other place, actually. But to each his/her own, I guess.

And it's so bizarre because I'm sure that Jack, handled by a different actor, would be such an awesome character and just the type I love, but it's just. BARROWMAN. You can ATTEMPT to emote something other than greasiness/smarminess/bland smugness once every 2000 years, really, it's ok. I just can't watch Torchwood because of that man.

32- [rant]ENGLISH? A HARD language to learn?
Try one of the easiest EVER.
O_o Try French, of any Chinese dialect, or German, or Russian... I don't know which languages you've learned so far, but English is really easy.
I know some elitists will say "OMG! English is my first language and I don't master because it's sooooo hard" and that is just STUPID, I don't think it's possible to "master" a language completely. All I know is that if I had to grade the difficulty of the languages I've learned/I'm learning, Japanese would be first and English last. Spanish is easier than French, though knowing one helps learning the other. Knowing English helps with German, though German is more complicated than Spanish.
Russian is probably harder than German but easier than French - I'm having problems putting it somewhere... I'd say as hard as French?... Hmm... It was more difficult for me but that's because it's so far from my first language...
Anyway, all in all, I have trouble finding a language EASIER than English, though I'm only fluent in 3 languages and okay in 3, I'm sure there are a lot of languages easier than English.
Finally, the reason English is so popular every where on the planer it NOT because Americans are oh so marvelous and great - though it's probably part of it - it's because it's EASY to learn.[/rant]

Not contending your assertion that English is easy to learn, but I have to disagree on that being the reason for it being widespread. That's more of a "English colonials conquered a third of the world" thing.

I have no idea how Borrowman behaves -- I try not to pay attention to actors personal lives. I hate it when an actor's behavior taints my appreciation of the character he plays.

32) You are going to be considered a weeboo if you act like one, no matter how many languages you speak. If you can pick up a language in 3 months, go learn japanese. Learn Russian. Learn Farsi while you are at it. Anyone who gives you grief over having a marketable skill because you also happen to enjoy manga is a retard.

68) You aren't getting what plagiarism is. It doesn't mean that you can't ever have any idea elements that are similar to some other series. It means you can't rip off the words or substantial parts of the actions of something else. If someone were to consider your fics to be plagiarism, they'd also have to consider half the harlequin romance books out there to be plagiarized.18

That sounds like a bitch. But still, a friend of mine once told me something, and I think you need to hear it too: "It doesn't matter how original the story is, but how well the creator pulls it off".

Now, I don't know anything about Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I do watch Avatar: the Last Airbender. And as a fan, I can admit that it's not the most terribly creative show on the planet. But the reason the show is so popular is because the creators are pulling it off well. And if you pull off your story well, who will care that it shares resemblances with Avatar?
