I noticed that the customization option for the MC has actual black people in it (about damn time)

and yeah if this is a 90+% white (or Japanese) people island I'm gonna be really disappointed, it's Hawai'i for goodness' sake

Why did it have to be America. A whole world to choose from with interesting locations and they went for the tired over used pandering to America.

Hawaii is not "America"

No one sets anything in Hawaii. It's a very underused and non-American setting.

because japanese people like hawaii? I assume that's also why the last one was set in france. I really don't think it's about pandering to americans so much as places japanese people think are cool.

Out of 7 Pokemon generations this is only the second to be set in the US. Chill. (And Hawai'i is also a popular tropical destination; I think its iconography as a remote island paradise holds more weight than it being American. Now if this were Unova all over again you might have an argument. But even then when more than half of them are still set in Japan where, you know, Pokemon is made...this seems like a pretty weird complaint)

Or, and this is just a guess, they went with an area that besides being beautiful and multiethnic, has a history with Japan? I mean, Japanese people make up 16% of the state and used to make up 40%.

I just want the cat fire starter to NOT be dark type. ALL the (house)cats are dark type, or normal type. Pleaaase some variety.

I don't think it's gonna end up as a housecat. Does that make a difference?

There's only one Fire/Dark line and only one Dark starter so far, so I don't feel like this would be too off-the-wall.

it isn't going to be dark type

someone looked into the resources of the japanese site and the only other "types" listed for the evolutionary links they'll eventually add are "ground" and "fighting"

Lunaala to be Fairy/Dark
HMs to combine with Pokémon naturally. A Water type could swim/climb waterfalls/etc.. Still have to get a badge to unlock the ability
Dark type gym
Difficulty
Minimum amount of new Legendaries
Gym Leaders/Elite Four/Evil Team do things not revolving around the player. I want to run into them chilling at a cafe and meet their siblings and stuff

I really want it to be an island chain! With volcanoes and lagoons and atolls. Basically, I would be a million percent satisfied with it being a different flavour Hoenn. I love islands and I love Hoenn.

Pokemon following you (fat chance), keeping the customization options from X and Y, WISH that contests/musicals were really really similar to how contests were done in the anime (once again, fat chance), a few other things that I completely forgot like, a few minutes ago, dammit.

Oh, remembered one of them: NO FIRE/FIGHTING FINAL FOR THE FIRE STARTER.
