Bad. My antique engagement ring (family heirloom of fiance) was sent for repair and instead the jeweler has damaaged it. The ring is over 100 years old and has a particularly beautiful central stone. That stone now has a chip in it and tool marks over its surface. Its a really unusual colour and will cost thousands to replace just that one stone. I'm devastated.

Great so far. We adopted a kitten, and I came home to a hold notice in my inbox from a market I really want to crack for a story I really want to sell.

Ah, well, you know, pretty alright. Went to the farmers' market. Got Roma tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers, strawberries, and some peaches and plums. Also ground beef. Then I came home and worked out a little bit and then ate some hamburgers my roommate got because he's hungover.

Now I'm probably planning on reading fanfiction and watching movies the rest of the day mostly. Also going to make some tomato sauce and meatballs but I'm not sure whether I'm going to do that today or tomorrow.

I don't really feel great (just because the world has been so weird and I feel kind of off my kilter and iffy) but, you know, the day has been pretty productive and I don't have any pressing engagements so it could be a lot worse.

Ridiculously busy and productive.

Got to the mall by 9 to pick up the Hallmark ornaments we ordered, then went to Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, the bank, CVS, and ordered furniture YAY! finally ordered some.

Then ate lunch, went to Walmart and found this awesome Eiffel Tower lamp and went to the food store to start stocking up on supplies.

Tired now, but it's about time to figure out dinner plans.

It was okay. I slept in and played on the computer for a bit. Took a two hour nap after lunch, then went to the local zoo (small family run place) with my sister. We got to see the new lion cub and he's adorable. Came home and am now waiting for supper. Will probably go on netflix later and watch something....

My tomato patch is full of late-season blight despite it being early in the season, and none of my cucumbers are fruiting. My erigeron may have been smothered by another bush and I've missed it until it was too late.

I got fired! For a bunch of reasons I don't really want to get into (I try to keep personal info out of fandom accounts), but suffice it to say I bawled like a baby and if anyone has any cute/funny pictures or websites I would welcome them gratefully.

Crazy. I had to take one of my cats to the vet for her yearly check up/vaccinations. She does NOT like the vet. It took me 20 minutes to catch her and get her to the car, 5 minutes at the vet, and then 30 minutes to get her OUT of the car, and I'm now sporting some new holes and bruises.

I've been happily lazy and am currently getting some work done at a really nicely slow pace and contemplating some evening errands which I might forgo entirely to keep doing lazy work.

At about 5:30, the Norco wore off and the pain woke me up. Fed the animals, watched a couple of episodes of Breaking Bad, cleaned the living room a bit, then went out and did some errands. Now I'm back, and since I'm not going to be driving any more today I took some more Norco and I'm watching Supernatural (because I'm not going to be capable of following anything complicated when it kicks in).

I repaired my sister's old bike, cooked myself a veggie burger, decided not to drink that beer after all, spent a long, looong time online researching nearby foodtrucks, and finally watched Finding Nemo.

Not bad at all. We scrounged enough money for internet and groceries a few days ago, so I'm good on that front for now, and my best friend gave me $100 out of the blue, so I was able to pad my account a bit and go yard-saling with mom after we fed the horses and the catfish and turtles in the pond (which was the highlight of the morning; they were so fat and excited!) at 6 AM. When I got home, I went straight to bed and got up an hour ago, because I am not meant for mornings. When I checked my email I found out that B&N gave me a credit for the online store due to a settlement, so I took advantage of it by buying Revisionary (by Jim C. Hines) and Jem and the Holograms vol. 1, both for the Nook. Then I downloaded Pokemon Go. I can't wait to see what Pokemon are lurking at the stable!

All in all, a massive improvement over last week. I'm still nervous as hell about our finances, but for the first time in a long time I have a bit of hope.

Excellent so far! Played Animal Crossing in bed after I woke up, took a nice shower, went to locals and got second place today, having some cheap Chinese dinner then gonna chill at Starbucks and play The Sims until I go to bed. Loving this weather here too, and also looking forward to tomorrow.

I wish I had done more with my day. Meant to at least go for a 30 minute walk (like I've been doing, at least four times a week), but I haven't. (Went to a PokeStop today, but drove there because I knew there would be a bunch of people outside along the way, and I was right. I'm not up for that much social interaction.)

Should've at least played Dishonored, and while I got some light chores done and cooked french toast for breakfast, most of my day has been kind of a waste.

(I don't even mind lazy days; they're fun, and I crave them, but I mostly sat around moping today when I could've at least colored, gamed, or worked out. Guess I'm just in a weird mood, where there are things I want to do, but I can't actually bring myself to get around to them.)

Actually, I might still try to go for that walk, but it's been raining so just want to make sure I don't get stuck in it.

Working with the prednisone to ward off the inflammation from some weird ass allergic reaction my legs got from some unknown insect (I was wearing pants while weeding, buggers still got up the pants and bit the hell out of the back of the knee and even scraped by the bikini line, seriously WTF). So between that and the bennedryl, I'm a bit "off".

But I visited mom in the nursing home, the residents were outside but mom was out in the sun just a bit too long. The back of her neck was red and the nurse examined and reassessed her. We think now it was heat rash but still, not good for mom to suffer through that. So the staff is aware of the situation, and the next time they take the residents outside she's getting sunscreen on just in case. Also discovered mom grinds her teeth. She's never done that. I'm like what is that creaking sound OMG it's your jaw! Mom didn't like me holding her jaw in place. Sigh.

Spent the rest of the afternoon watching "The Avengers". Now trying to resist the urge to scratch my legs and awaiting the bennedryl to kick in.
