Suicide Squad is on track not to only beat Guardians of the Galaxy opening weekend record for the first week of august, but for the highest opening weekend in August period.

Even after the bad reviews, I still kind of want to see it. It is the only DC movie that interests me really. Hopefully it will still be playing when I have a job (hopefully) in a few weeks and my own place.

A good opening weekend is likely the only record they'll be breaking. I expect it will have a huge drop off second week just like BvS.

Since both their name are in the mix, it seems I liked SS about as much as I did GotG. Didn't make me care that much but pretty entertaining.

Oh shit! I loved Hero and have Flying Daggers on my DVR.

I am so put off by Damon I may just not see this until I read some reviews and hope that the Chinese actors have prominent roles.

If Zhang Yimou wants to cast Matt Damon in his historical fantasy epic then I will... shut up and watch, because I don't argue with friggin' Zhang Yimou. Who'd you think you're talking about, Shyamalan??

I mean, I don't think Flowers of War needed Christian Bale, but that's mostly because he was distracting as hell and his role could've been played by any white guy.

I didn't know it was the same director and that the crew was Chinese. All I know about the film is from a clickbait headline about whitewashing.

Oh, yes. My parents are both horribly offended by the remake (though if the movie sticks closer to the book than the original movie, which I doubt, they will be less annoyed).

Don't worry, 90% of people don't even know they did. Paramount is like not advertising it.

The only reason I'm watching it is because an actor i like is there. That's it. Can't wait to be the only one in the theater.
