Oh, I do listen to his music and respect him as a musician, but 'Yoshiki as punchline' has totally overshadowed 'Yoshiki as talented musician' in my mind. (I feel bad about it, of course, hence it being a secret.) His knack for attention whoring and penchant for melodrama really amuse me, but it's an 'I mock because I love' kind of thing. Does that make any sense? (I think I've confused myself...)

Exactly. There's nothing wrong with holding on to the love... I think that everyone who was dedicated to the series for some significant portion of their lives will always associate some things with Animorphs, anyway. Red-tailed hawks to Tobias, for instance. ;)

45. As someone who often takes a very long time to reply to RP comments, 99.9% (if not 100%) of the time it is probably not you. Sometimes people are busy/multitasking, sometimes the phone rings or someone comes to the door, sometimes people just get distracted and wander away from the post/thread for a while, or they didn't notice you'd replied. I don't want to say it's never because the person is uncomfortable/offended, but it's unlikely compared to the many other possibilities. This reassurance may not help much, I know (being somewhat socially paranoid myself... sometimes I suspect all RPers are), but... I wanted to say it anyway.

57. Shipping a pairing doesn't necessarily mean you find it hot/would want to read pr0n about it. Maybe they just like the relationship dynamic, rather than thinking the characters look pretty together. That's what I like about the pairing, anyway. It's sort of cute, in a way. And Roslin looks pretty damn good for her age, if you ask me.

51. Wow, this could have been me. Not saying it IS, because that kind of defeats the whole secret thing, but I like those secrets, and the usual comm response. (Okay, occasionally there's "There are too many 'I'd hit it' secrets" but I've never seen someone attack a specific secret for who it's about.) Because for all we know this is the only space where the person can say that and get either supportive comments or at least not be criticized. I guess I'm of two minds about it...it's great that we offer someone a place to say it, but not nearly as wonderful that it has to be a secret.
