47 - I'm someone who's liked the series since '97 or whatever, and Crisis Core recently brought back my love for the series. (I've still yet to beat DoC, but I will at some point. Honest!) I understand issues people have with them - I have them myself. But I don't see any reason for people not to enjoy the new games.

I think what ticks people off are those new fans who refuse to go back and play the original game because they don't like the graphics. *shrug* It's never too late to enjoy something classic.

03. I've never seen/read/whatever that particular series, but the "You've forced yourself on me/raped me and now I'm in wuv!" theme seemed to be pretty common to be back when I was into yaoi manga, so, word. It's not cool no matter what series it is.

3: I haven't read it lately, and I never read all of it, but I don't think that's how the story went, actually. Yes, Ayase (the little guy) was raped repeatedly, but he really was forced to do it - he was being blackmailed.

Also, he didn't fall in love (at least not for a long time); in fact, he was a bit of a homophobe in the start, and then slowly learns that he was wrong about many things as he meets people who don't fit in the "normal" society.

He still, as far as I read anyway, really hated how he was made to feel (yeah, he enjoyed it physically, but he really didn't want it, so it's still rape). It's relly a rather twisted story.

67: Yeah, that's the problem; heterosexual love can have unrealistic love stories (you're not going to tell me that "Pretty Woman", for example, was a realistic tale of a prostitute, are you?) and fantasy worlds and sci-fi (where any sort of society could be created) that fits with their sexual leanings. Why can't we with homo-and bi leanings?

(Totally agree on Beautiful Thing btw.)

That said, 4chan was going down the drain way before the LJ crowd 'discovered' it. It's unlikely we'll ever get the golden days back. That doesn't mean I'll resort to heading over to 7chan though.

For April Fool's, the mods pretending like they were making the community exclusive to 1,000 members; members had to fill out a form about why they wanted to stay, prove they were active, etc., and the last part was they had to participate in a discussion elsewhere on the sexiness of one of the actors. Apparently people weren't amused, but if they took it seriously, on April Fool's and especially after that last part, it's their bad, lol.
