I call bullshit. If you had just said fic I would've bought it, but artists in fandom are rare, ACTUALLY GOOD artists in fandom are even rarer, your style would've been identified, people would be saying one of your socks were copying the other sock or something similar by now.

Back in grade school, I'd be in the library for most of the day, and then I'd go to my public one on weekends. People think I'm kind of odd. Pfft. 39) Song of Songs 4:7: All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you. I'm not sure if you are religious or not, but I always think of this any time I get discouraged about my looks. Either way, if you feel beautiful out of costume, you should feel beautiful in costume! "Beauty if skin deep", and it's so true. I once met this cosplayer who had made a wonderful outfit, but she was so rude! Suddenly her amazing cosplay just seemed like it was made out of spite. So if you make a nice costume and act the part, I don't see why you should be worried. Go out there and be beautiful!

28 - Y'know it's weird. I've seen this happen to Aerith and Tifa, but Yuffie never gets this kind of treatment. I don't know whether to feel bad or relieved for her. XD Unless you really took the time to train and level her, Aerith is only going to be an outstanding magic user, and an mediocre staff wielder. That's perfectly fine, because her real attribute was her upbeat attitude despite growing up in a freakin' slum with Turks chasing her down.

Aerith has faults--she's physically weak, she has moments of loneliness, and she can be tactless. But she is smart, honest and well-meaning--she endures. That's not goddess-sue, that's human--maybe an ideal human in the FFVII-verse, but all the same, human.

12) Links or I don't believe it. It's easy to call yourself a BNF, but you ain't one unless other people label you so. There are heaps of mediocre writers who bang out sure-fire tropes and pairings and get a mess of predictable squeeing replies, especially in big active fandoms. That means nothing.

Do you show up in almost every recc list for your fandom? Do people frequently discuss you or your fics on their own LJs? Do people wank about you? Has it reached Fandom_wank? Are you fangirled by strangers IRL? Do they give you unsolicited gifts? If you can't say yes to most if not all of these things, you are just an ordinary run of the mill hack.

Even in the largest fandoms only a few people really make a name for themselves, and then they do it by breaking out of the pack and giving fandom something distinctive and memorable. In a lot of cases "distinctive" is a euphemism for "batshit" so honestly being a BNF is not necessarily point of pride

I really don't know of any BNFs in Death Note fandom. I can only think of one particular fanartist who might come close.

10. I find the Suzumiya Haruhi and Lucky Stay openings more "happy" catchy, whereas "Zessei Bijin" is more like a laid back kind of catchy. If I had to choose a song to listen to over and over, it'd probably by "Zessei Bijin".

Regarding the Avatar fandom...maybe I'm reading into "I DID IT FOR THE LULZ" too much, but you strike me a bit as a

capslock_atla member. If that's true, there are only two really big artists there I can think of (do you write AND draw in all five fandoms or do you switch off?), one of whom has an art style that would probably translate into other fandoms without being recognized more easily. Oh dear.

5: I love him, and like to imagine him regally sweaping Vaan off his feet in a few years. Yeah, I know, I'm pretty much the only one in the fandom (and I haven't written any fic myself yet.)

7: I haven't seen much of this bashing, but I don't really take part in any of CLAMPs fandoms (they make too bewildered and angry, usually). But I do love her. I think she's amazing, both as a person and a character, one of the strongest in Tsubasa, and her relationship(s) with Shaoran heart-wrenching. She's just generally full of win.

11: Learning how to draw is not really that easy, you know. Not everybody can do it.

Also, it's not allowed to use fanart as base, but drawing (and using) official art is all right? I think there might be a slight problem with that...

Anyway, in general I think that if you don't want your precious Art used for various things, don't put it on the internet.
