01. I know it's fiction, but I can't help casing new places when I move into them ("Hmm...I'm on the third floor, and these stairs don't look like they'd hold up to a sledgehammer...") I don't stockpile food or weapons, but I'd be able to come up with something to survive should a crisis ever actually arise. I'd be like the hikikomori in World War Z.

He's a transman who never had bottom surgery, and unfortunately he and his wife have really been getting bashed for this because so many of the doctors they've gone to have been super uncomfortable with it. Sad fact of the matter is that transpeople have to put up with shit like this all the time, even if not usually on this issue.

I hadn't heard about this either; I pretty much live in a box while classes are going. But now I've looked up the gist of it?

Okay, yeah, medically he still has female reproductive organs and it isn't mpreg. But if he identifies as male and is still carrying a baby, all the attendant emotional and gender identity issues must still be there. So personally I count it as mpreg, and think he is pretty damn awesome.

You have to admit it's something to go to all the trouble of making a secret, capping a news article for it and not just taking the time to READ it.

8. Wanting to watch this movie is like trying not to scratch an itch caused by the chicken pox. I'd to it but it would only make things worse and make me feel very guilty. I've read the book, and I like it quite a bit. I just know that If I watched the movie, I'd be so damn nit-picky about every single thing that didn't follow the book.
