Coca-Cola.

Yes, I know the company does bad things in Central (or is it South-?) America. I'm already racked with guilt. It just tastes so good! :/

Why are you liberal feminists so goddamn hypocritical? You talk so much about choice and agency, yet when a woman makes a choice that doesn't align with patriarchal standards you jump down her fucking throat.

And so what if she used to push acne treatments? People aren't allowed to change? People aren't allowed to turn their backs on views they once espoused but have now realized are harmful?

My father had a sweet tooth! That lady you knew must not have mingled with human beings much!

Re: Canon but not Fandom?

Honestly, anything that involves real people actors. So all movies and TV shows are out. I love certain movies and TV shows, but I do not want to get involved in the fandom at all. Video games is where my fandom love lies.

Yes, and the sucky thing is, I got in it late - I had so many more heroes to go!

Ah that sucks, I've been playing it since it started so I've got a lot, not all of them mind-you but finding out you won't get to collect anymore sucks too.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Um, yes? Because that's literally what bisexuality is "gay/straight ONLY FOR YOU!" is a bullshit concept.

At least I had Bucky. It's weird I din't know about the game sooner - fandom friend got me into it. It's weird, cause afaik people were still spending a lot of cash on pvp. I think they just want to migrate more to apps and mobile, which sucks.

Right, seeing as I didn't say any of that you are obviously just wanting to fight with someone about this. So have a good night.

So basically you don't have anything insightful to say about this.

Put it this way-- the only sweets I don't really like are hard candy and rich chocolate desserts, because they hurt my stomach. (I typed that sentence one-handed while finishing the southern jam cake ice cream I splurged on at Whole Foods tonight. It was very good.)

My favorite sweet things to drink are Thai iced tea and St. Germain liqueur. Not together.

Ahahahaha. This shit is hilarious. Shine on, you crazy delusional diamonds.

Oh man, The New Lars was awful. I'm only a casual watcher, but that one really made me uncomfortable with just how skeevy it was to have Steven running around in Lars' body and doin gwhatever he wanted, and how there were basically zero consequences for it.

I mean, I may be alone in this, but I also thought that the guy who hit on Stevonnie was... while a bit out of line, he wasn't actually that bad. It was clear that Stevonnie was uncomfortable with being in a sexual situation, but part of that was because Stevonnie went into a sexualized space, and Stevonnie does look physically mature.
To me, the difference is that the Stevonnie thing is probably meant to more clearly reflect a real-world situation, and is giving a very clear real-world message. However, waking up in somebody's body is a violation that most kids won't actually experience, haha. So while I watch it an am horrified, it probably looks way different to kids, and because it's blatantly unreal it can be set aside as "shenanigans".

Hehehe I started saying that after something my Dad said about me.

I feel you on that. I have grandparents with diabetes on both sides so I really should be careful.

I don't know what I would choose! Cookies would be a good choice. I'd have cookies and cookie dough (which is really just uncooked cookie).

I never managed to get him, which makes me sad(didn't have enough gold to try and get the last covers). My dad found it on facebook and pointed me towards it since we're both Marvel fans.

Oh I didn't think about that, I thought that maybe there weren't enough people actually spending money on the game to make keeping the servers up worth it. Oh well. I'm considering splurging all my command points and gold on heroes I want, even if they are going to disappear permanently soon.

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
you're welcome to not like the show, because it's okay to have opinions. And you're welcome to not like Steven, because that's an opinion and it's okay to have one.

but your reasoning in this secret is factually inaccurate and objectively incorrect, and makes me wonder how much of the show you have actually watched.

Re: Weird stereotypes you've heard

(Anonymous) 2016-09-02 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
I've never heard of men not having a sweet tooth, but I think women are stereotyped a lot as being obsessed with chocolate and other snacks.

Ergh, you have my sympathies on everything with your mom. My mom's turning 60 later this year and I've been thinking more about similar things as a result. Obviously that's the sort of thing that all kids have to confront and think about at some point, but that doesn't make it any less scary to imagine. *Hugs*

My mom also had a similar skin cancer diagnosis, but thankfully, the treatments for it were pretty simple and painless, and all she has to do now is go for checkups every so often just to make sure all's good on that front. So if that's all your mom will ultimately have to do, then hopefully that can help put your mind at ease a little. I'm glad, too, that this is one where the survival rate is so high. That's a positive sign as well. Sending good wishes and support regardless, though-I hope all goes well for you guys with that :).

No. My mom died of cancer in 2000 and my dad died of heart problems (and all sorts of issues related to obesity) in 2008.
