Happy Birthday, Kallanda! :D

Ha, yeah, they've had some seriously creepy and disturbing unsubs, for sure (Foyet's introduction episode, for instance-I like that episode, but damn, is it fucking unsettling). They have had some very moving and emotional cases, too, though-there's a few cases on that show that have actually brought me to tears.

But yeah, despite all the changes in team members over the years, CM has always had a knack for creating a great chemistry among the characters, and that's one of the big things that got me hooked when I first saw the show, and keeps me watching.

I haven't seen any of the new "Hawaii 5-0", but from what I have heard about it, the characters sound pretty fun and entertaining on there :). Maybe I'll give that one a look sometime. I'm curious to see how it matches up against the original version.

Max is great, I occasionally get stuck in a video spiral for him because his antics, good or bad, are entertaining to watch. He's a cutie.

I have no idea what it means but apparently I'm "popular-looking". I have friends who act like I must have been popular in school, unlike them, and it never seems to sink in no matter how many times I tell them they're wrong.

Thank you! That's the idea!

I live in a pretty small city in europe but for some reason we have two huge annual festivals with half a million visitors and like 20 other fairs and party thingies throughout the year.

Happy Birthday, anon! :D

(I love IHOP. I really liked the salted caramel banana criss-croissant, if you were looking for a recommendation on one of their newer menu items.)

I need more characters like Peridot. A lot of fantasy writers think of logic and people who use logic as the enemy in one form or another, and they depict characters who think logically as ignorant and shortsighted. Peridot's a heavily flawed character, but she's at least allowed to be logical without that being a bad thing.

As for Lapis, the most I can say about her is that no character I have ever written is as complex as her. Take that in whatever sense you will.

Have fun! I know you sometimes don't during family events so I am glad you are looking forward to this one. :)

And enjoy play Deus Ex (how times have you played thru it?).

thank you for mentioning kisscartoons - I was able to find one of the shows I watched years ago on it! (Granted, it's the movie, but hell, nice quality version of Mutant League? Yeah!)

Oh.. and the Monchhichis :D

I still get that feeling from time to time, but yes, it isn't as easy as it was when I was a kid.

They're boring and we stay too long, but it's a nice excuse to get out of the house and see some relatives I don't get to see too often, so I enjoy it.

Anyway... lost count ages ago, been playing almost since it was new. Probably in the double digits by now, and still finding out stuff I didn't know about (like JC has one line in the entire game where he laughs. And it's awkward and hilarious and you only get it if you act like a complete psychopath.)

Not mine usually. I probably should have figured out soon that I was making an exception for Claude Rains.

I love Louis but he can't be my ideal man because he reminds me of my dad since my dad likes to quote him. I'd go with Rick since I'm with your dad on Humphrey Bogart, not that I don't also like Claude Rains.

I never understood the appeal of shopping in general, though I generally do prefer daylight.

There are lots of shooting galleries and tombolas, and every club in town puts a booze-booth outside. Also there's langos (Hungarian deep fried pancakes) and flame-grilled salmon and churros. And super tasty sausage and belgian fries. And the kind guy from the booth where you throw darts at balloons who always gives out extra darts for the little kids and lets them have whatever prize they want.

Darkwing Duck is so strange to watch nowadays. It uses more complicated language and ideas than most modern stuff for kids, but the messages are so simple and the emotional arcs so much less impactful.

Claude Rains as the Phantom anon:

obviously Larry gets the height from his late mother, ::snicker::

oh! And one more movie recommendation: Adventures of Robin Hood (Errol Flynn is Robin Hood). He plays Prince John in that. (This has an epic duel scene between Robin and Sir Guy [aka Sherlock Holmes aka Basil Rathbone])
