24. It is kind of like a crime to hate Atobe in PoT fandom, isn't it? -__- I adore the guy to death, but I don't think anyone should have to hide not liking a character. I think Yukimura has become the new Atobe though, so maybe the idea won't come off so offensive now? I dunno.

36. Most of my friends didn't finish the Soul Society Arc either. -__- The whole Aizen thing was worth finishing that part for though.

62. Yeah, because Tetsuya Nomura has been the director of the Final Fantasy series since Final Fantasy 1... oh wait, HE HASN'T.

Do some research and find out who Hironobu Sakaguchi and Yasunori Kitase are before you start whining, dumbass.

He's the fucking character designer for fuck's sake. The higher-ups give him guidelines and he follows them. Aside from Kingdom Hearts, he doesn't really control what goes into the other Final Fantasy games.

I wish people would just stop bashing Tetsuya Nomura. Oh noes, he doesn't drawn blobby characters, he's ruined Final Fantasy forever.

I haven't played a single Final Fantasy game myself and thus couldn't care less about Nomura's involvement in the series. I don't even mind his designs that much. And I'm a very (depressingly) casual Star Wars fan.

This lolfic idea of mine was created as a result of the fans' complaints about how the Final Fantasy VII and Star Wars franchises are being milked to the point of bastardizing what the originals stood for, often with cries of "Damn you, Lucas/Nomura!" Which got me thinking, "Hmm...what if Lucas and Nomura were evil overlords doing this out of sadism and profit?" And it amused me.

Lighten the fuck up. Srsly.

28. HAHA! I do that too! I do that all the time! It's been ages since I actually sat down and wrote things out, but I still think 'em up. And I don't drink much. But then, when we did it back in high school, it was with Sprite.

I mean, obviously you have to mock them too, but I like obsessing over the details for funsies, and few things get me as pissed off as people being rude for rudeness sake, like, say, posting spoilers and then laughing when people get upset. It's not so much that it's srs bzns, just that it's dickish and that's not what fandom should be about.


46. I don't know why, but I just have absolutely no patience with insecurity, especially like this. If you whinge and cringe away from social contact and need to be affirmed that, oh sweetie, you are an interesting/cool person, really!... then people are going to get tired of you in a quick fast hurry. Post your art. If people like it, they like it. I've made friends on dA. I've made friends in art school. It doesn't matter if you "live up to your art" (what?). Roll the dice and see what happens and have some friggen confidence in yourself.



52. Okay, firstly, she looks like a cartoon version of Marilyn Munroe-meets-Bettie Davis, so I'm not sure how/where you get "ugly." That's a personal opinion, though. This bit isn't--pointless? She drives the plot at least three times that I can think of, first by adding conflict to the kid's entry into Neverland, secondly by getting kidnapped by the pirates, and thirdly by siding with Captain Hook. She adds levels of relevant conflict, so she's certainly not pointless.
But that aside, me, I like her because she's a selfish, mean, b***** character. I think it makes her cool and interesting (not emulatable, though). It's nifty that she's based on a pin-up queen and is the only Disney character who gets listed as both a semi-Princess and a Villain.

All that said, I hate that recently, she's been more like a cutesy, spunky, hey-little-girls-don't-you-wanna-be-like-her? kind of character.
