5. I know what you mean about some fans, sorta, but Death Note characters are really complex, pretty much all of them. Even Matsuda can be surprising, bless his heart. xD I'm not saying that the fact they're complex characters should be an excuse for doing it all wrong, but a fandom is like a mini world, and there are more and less talented people everywhere. I like the fanbase in some places, and then some are, indeed, filled with wank. But I tend to be able to avoid those... And generally enjoy the fandom. Wow, I rambled.
23. Today was the first day I've watched this... I spend my LIFE on the internet but I've never been rickrolled... I'm not sure if I should be proud or ashamed. The video is so weird, and yet oddly endearing. Yeah, I'm strange. I don't mind the song half as much as I should, but it's stuck in my head. Didn't we have an "I love this song" rickrolling secret last night?

05 - It depresses me to no end, the utter retards and faggotry this fandom attracts. How can such a great piece spawn such horrible, retarded fans? Is it the OMG L KAWAII ^__^ or something? Almost all of the fic I've read save for a few gems has been utterly disappointing and no one does justice to the characters or concepts in the manga, it's just the same chiched tripe I read a year ago.

I planned to comment with "TORTURE YAY!" when I read the first part of the secret (what?), but now I'm going to share my ~*~Views On Porn~*~. So, beware of TMI, I suppose? First off, I need to like someone's personality to really find them attractive. I can appreciate good looks, but someone can't draw a "OMG HOT" reaction out of me unless I really like them as a person. Some characters or people I now find hot I used to think were odd-looking or downright fugly. That's why I wouldn't like random pr0n. I read NC-17 fic about my favorite characters because they're my favorite characters, if that makes any sense.

Smutty fanfic used to make me uncomfortable too, because I felt the author was exposing something very personal to fandom at large, and it was extremely weird for me read it. I'm over that now, though.
