16. I sort of love to hate theories like that. Pokemon doesn't seem like that sort of series to me-- by the time Ash is getting struck by lightning, the weirdness has already been introduced-- but you're right. He doesn't age. Me, I sort of have a similar theory about "Lilo & Stitch"-- it's all just a long, complicated daydream kind of thing Lilo has. Stitch is really just a dog, if Jumba and Pleakley exist at all they're just regular humans and really are her uncle and aunt, and most of it is just an imaginative game she plays running around with her odd-looking dog. It'd explain why most people don't even notice the aliens.

I know when Berthold hit that electric floor I was really scared. ^^;

20: I haven't read far enough in to know she is (I quit right around Sasori's death)(but not for that reason), and I feel mixed about her existence, because I'm glad theres a female Akatsuki (I was disappointed when I realized Deidara was a dude), but I'm terrified she'll be overshadowed by her male companions, just like you said. Kishimoto is TERRIBLE at writing female characters.

50: I realize I barely have to respond to this as the majority of the internet already has, but Kingdom Hearts =/= Final Fantasy. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME GAME. She is not a Mary Sue just because some people pair him up with the character you like- who, by the way, is some kind of epic level GARY STU in KH.

How the hell is Aerith supposed to be a sue when she does not steal the limelight? When she lacks the physical strength to match her magical abilities?

Play the original game to get an accurate depiction of who she is--and if you are already so dead set against Cloud/Aerith (though if you care about the story of the game at all, this shouldn't be the case)--then you can work a little harder and try to date Tifa. Or Yuffie. Or Barret. As mentioned earlier in this thread, there are strategy guides out there for just this purpose. Really, go on all the dates, they're hilarious.

Aside from all that, just because you don't like her, this does not make her a sue. =\

50 - Except they didn't. D: Cloud/Tifa had all this time after Aeris' death to get together, and they didn't, so I give up. Plus, I figured that since Cloud was talking about Aerith at the end of the original game, it swayed more in the favor of Cloud/Aerith.
